I had the sleeve in may and I know it still works. I can do pretty well most days, but my trouble, like always is staying in control at night. Please advise. I need some support on this one.

Plexus Slim
I thought about it. I am 4 months out and starting to slow down but many of those things swell up in your stomach an I don't have much room and I'm scared of potential pain. I figure if those things really worked this site and these procedures would not be needed.

Be honest - does anyone regret the surgery?
Hi. I'm 4 months post op and like many others, I wish I had done this YEARS ago I missed so much, but I'm back in the game. I not where I want to be but I am no where near where I was (4 daily insulin shot, HB pressure and cholesterol pills). I know and see first hand this is a miracle but it's not an easy path. I have a lot of new habits to develop for my new life but I am still very grateful.

I'm Slowing down need friends
Hello. I had surgery May 19th. I feel so much better. I've lost almost 50 pounds from my pre- op diet and 95 pounds from my highest weight ever but I'm REALLY slowing down and getting scared. I think 4 months is soon to be only losing 2 pounds a week. I know I have slipped some but I climb back on the wagon pretty fast. Any body out there 6-12 months out who went through this? I used to have that ketosis taste in my mouth.... I need that back. That was my sign things were right. I can stand to lose 55 - 75 more pounds easy. Help.

Any May 20th surgeries out there?
It sounds like everyone is doing great., I'm still thrilled at my overall progress, however.... is anyone else slowed to a crawl? I still only weight about every 2-4 weeks usually at support group but at the last weigh in I lost only 5 pounds in about 2 weeks. I'm a little scared.

HELP! Have to eat out tomorrow for the first time and
If you like eggs, and I do, pick B. It looks the most gentle. I m only 11 weeks out and have been faced with a farewell and welcome public lunch in the last month after I left one job and took another so remember....if you are still on soft food, two eggs are a lot!!!. Talk a lot, take your time and I honestly got extra napkins because I actually spit out a few bites when I wiped my mouth so the plate would look different and I would not get sick. One bite too much could be embarrassing and it can happen real fast. Enjoy the outing and the people. You can do it.

Shape Management
I am a true apple girl....well almost an inverted pair. Big on the top small at the bottom. Big stomach ONLY minimized by big boobs and a BROAD back. Trouble with this shape is I am NOT a guy. I am losing still only 11 weeks post op but I really want to shrink the shoulder/back fat. HELP. I know bodies have a natural basic structure, but I want to improve the proportion.

Any May 20th surgeries out there?
Hello all.... May 19th was my date. I had a long journey before surgery. Diagnosed with diabetes last spring 2013 when I was JUST thinking about having surgery. My highest weight was a few months before the diagnosis at 299. The diabetes did give me a 30 pound weight loss, but I was sick. Anyway I got the diabetes under control in about 9 months with pills and 4 shots a day. Something had to give. So by the end of my pre- op diet I was 269 at pre- op (5/16/14) and now at 2 months post op I'm at 232. I am happy that my clothes are feeling loose, but I'm still wearing my BIG girl stuff. Tomorrow I get to go closet shopping. I can start to wear those clothes I refused to toss when I outgrew them. I really did not have a plan at the time, but somehow I knew I'd be in them again. I feel like the weight loss is slowing already but to be honest, I have to exercise. It's still kind of hard to believe I actually can now. This sight was a huge help pre and post op, so I'll need your help for the work out stage. Any tips on motivation and maintiance?

May 20, 2014 surgery...anyone else?
Wow... You are kicking butt. I've lost just under 30 but I let extra carbs creep in after week 4. I was pissed at myself. I knew better and am back on the wagon. Working to get back into ketosis. I have a birthday Aug 18 and I want to lose 25 pounds by then. That is a solid six weeks. 25 should be doable

easy healthy meals.
Thanks a lot. I do have a Trader Joe's that I never go to. (I do Publix) but I will check out the grab and go meats. I saw my nut today and I plan to pick up some Atkins meals. I was NOT happy with my 6 week post op number. Only 11 pounds since week 2, that us 2.5 a week this was too drastic a measure for those pitiful numbers. I was really sad.....So now I am faced with my big test.... not giving up. I have to fight. I want to win. I've also slacked off this site too and it really helped me pre- op and initially post op and I see I still have support here. THANKS I live alone so I have no help. It's all me and damn it I can.

is there anyone else who does NOT own a scale?
My theory is I hated them forever, they have never been good to me, so I do NOT own one. I figure don't make things harder and more frustrating. I'm just 6 weeks post op and I have a follow up today. Have not weighed since the two week follow up. Am I crazy?
-
beyond frustrated
I actually don't own a scale. Hated them all my life won't make it my new roomie. I'm not expert either I'm only 6 weeks post op but that is too much stress and I have enough trouble. LOL

easy healthy meals.
I go to my 6 week post op today. I hope it goes well. I feel like I am healing OK, but I need some food help. I did this to be a healthy weight and I knew on the front end this was NOT magic. I don't really Cook so what are some good grab and goes I can build my new life around? Help me.... BTW I have not seen any change in tastes that people have talked about so the really scary part is my veggie pallet was/is set to starch. I have not lost control but I am scared. I have to find things I can maintain for life EVEN if it is a cycle of 5 to 7 rotating dishes. I'm pretty good in the morning.... yogurt and a pack of Belvita crackers but I need easy goto lunch and dinner.

Wow. Nice to see a thread with locals. I'm in Nashville. I had the sleeve 5 weeks ago and everything went great. I am officially back in solid food.... soft solids, but I'm chewing again. Woo who!!!! The best info I got from this sight pre- op was to be prepared for the gas. I really had no pain except the gas and walking and gas x strips really helped. I know you are all excited, so congrats!!! This is still really new for me but I am so happy I did it. Wish I had been ready 10 years ago.
