  1. Thanks for this post. I am only starting week 4 post op and I have felt so " normal" through most of the recovery I am happy to be healing so well BUT I don't want my resilience to turn back into the old me. I am always great at things up front then the thrill wears off and I regress THEN I sabotage myself by giving up because I feel like what is the point. That can not happen here..... How do you stay motivated once the numbers slow down?
  2. I'm very glad this site is here. It is helpful and I wish us all the very best and many pounds down.
  3. That does seem like a long time but for walking and sitting up straight was my saving grace
  4. Can someone tell me they found some purée food that is actually tasty? I can eat a scrambled egg just fine but really outside that the thought of most food puréed makes me just want to drink water and call it a day. Everything is nasty but I feel like my stomach has to readjust to food. I am just now 3 weeks post op and my plan won't allow food outside a blender for two more weeks. Thank God I'm not really hungry but I miss EATING and chewing food and this baby food style stuff makes me want to gag. Help

  7. Sweet dreams. I know if you have been as tired as I have since not eating solid food.... you REALLY need good sleep
  8. I have the same question. Eating is such a routine social activity.
  9. I used mine at the hospital too and like the other person said the hospital staff would not be liable for setting it up. My doctor reminded me that thin people can have sleep apnea and it usually takes a lot of weight loss to eliminate the need. In any Case keep using it until you get released.
  10. I am now at 2 weeks post and I still have one terrible spot... I hate to even touch it but the others seem like they are going to get better. I am sure there are stitches underneath. I hope they dissolve any everything heals nicely. I still feel like the surgery is healing very well and I am not sick but I need the skin to heal too.
  11. You on your help way to a brand new you. It will be great. The only thing I'll warn you about is you may have some gas pain. Mine was not in my chest and back....don't let it freak you out. Walking will really help. You will be fine.
  12. Wow that frontal pic is great... what a transformation. I want that. You go girl
  13. Chances are you are fine but never hesitate to call the doc that's why they are there.
  14. I agree with Greene. The evaluation is simple. It seemed to want to make sure your self esteem is OK, you are not suicidal, and are realistic about what the surgery can and can't do for you. Just relax and be honest
  15. I'm only 7 days post op and the gas was my biggest challenge. Walking will help. Stretching with arms up and being as straight as I could was also more comfortable. I was kinda weak and pretty tired but I could not rest until I walked through some of that gas then I was much better. Take care
  16. I hope this procedure does the trick. I'm sorry you're not yet 100%
  17. How do you handle no lunch outings and essentially not eating when you go back to work? What did you say to people? Help me out old timers.
  18. Wow Mia... that's 115lbs. How long did it take?
  19. Did you have this problem before surgery? How long after surgery did it start?
  20. I like this kind of info. I'm only one week post op and I need ideas.
  21. I did not have those with my sleeve and I had hernia repair too.
