  1. Yeah...I s'pose that would look a little odd. Does it count if the car on blocks is a Hummer? This is getting disturbing.... I was reading these at work laughing my ass off. I mean full head tilted back, snorting and crying. In a time of layoffs, I think a few cubby mates were a little disturbed, but f'it. It was FUNNY!! I love this stuff. What a little bugger. I'm rethinking the martini night and wondering if there was anything in one of the ones I had. I literally felt like I was going to die...but just thought I was drunker than I've ever been. <shrug...who knows.> PTJP - I ordered my dress tonight. It'll come in 15 weeks. It's kinda hitting me now - I'm getting married.
  2. Wow...is he normally that much of an a-hole? I'm not sure I'd be that much of a good nurse. I can handle the blood and guts and stuff...but bedside manners when they're being prickish...? um no thank you.
  3. Ahh...you were there at that magic moment. LOL Small world. Love the Masonic Temple. And, I didn't live there. Me and my hoodlum friends would just hang out there. Loved Nick's - they let us drink there underage. ...maybe they were just scared? I dunno. Me neither! I love pancakes, too. butter...syrup....mmmm...Haven't had more than two regrettable bites since Sept, 2007. No, no...it was insane - don't get me wrong. I had a small townhome in Manassas and here I have a large corner lot and single family home. I'm saying I get paid the same and the mortage (bigger house, yes) is the same payment. So, for me, there is no difference from my money situation here or there. Even though it is a nicer home, it's still equalling the same $$$ each month/year. Also, they're starting to push townhomes here BIG time. A 2-story down the road for me is going for $200,000 + and I say, "That's like VA!!!" Crazy. SFH's are still cheaper than that. C'mon 4:30!!!!!
  4. Oh, yeah...hey Beth - what do you have against multi-quote? :crying:
  5. g4e - re: tortillas - I am with you. I also pb hard with fajitas or soft tacos. :crying: blech... nasty stuff.
  6. When did you live in Old Town? I love Old Town - lived right up the road for a while. The door that I stole last month was from my grandparents house - they lived up near where Duke Street turned into Little River Tnpke. So, in high school, Old Town was our place. My first kiss was on a park bench in Founders Park. :frown: LOL I woulda stolen the bench, too, while I was in VA - but figured that would be too much.
  7. Hey now!!! :crying: lol Actually, the cost of living is a scam. In NoVa, I was making the same pay and paying the same mortgage. I had state tax, which I don't have here, but here I have tons of other little taxes which make up for it! For me, it's the same. Only, in Houston I can ride a bike. In Manassas, I barely got out my door before I was heaving and huffing. I like the flat! :frown: But, I've told DH if we both get fired, we're moving to San Antonio. I like my LIFE in Houston, but the city is bleh.
  8. Okay, this shows my "dummy" but, how do ya'll know when people change names? I changed my user ID maybe a year or so ago because someone logged on just to attack me. (crazy bf's ex-wife....jealous co-worker? who knows - I never found out.) I also know LaurenD changed her name to something else and it's obvious to me because I see the old posts under the new name. But how do you know when someone creates a whole new ID and is pretending to be someone else? To be honest, too - I don't really pay attention to the icons/names that much. I read the content and respond to that. There are some folks I don't like so much (pg) but I don't want that to change my response or opinion of what's being posted. If I see a great post from someone I don't like, I still want to be true to what my response would/should be.
  9. This made me laugh in real time, which meant I had to explain to my friend why and show the picture.... We're all fanning ourselves now. KC - what a cutie! I love men who stick up for women! Although, really, that sounds like the beginning of a great porno. "Excuse me, ma'am...is there trouble here?" "Yes, big burly painter guy...."
  10. ha! I love it! I saw the text on my phone and opened to see REAL picture! silly bat wings!!!
  11. I'm being lazy and not going to the gym. Even after the bat wing comments.
  12. guts or balls gave me the giggles.
  13. LOL...Yeah, knew I had to clarify after all that!
  14. Okay, so I type "blush for me please" and hit post - and a gazillion posts show up between Lu's "red or white?" post and mine.
  15. Blush for me, please.
  16. Welcome back, GG!!!!
  17. Isn't a goober a peanut? Sometimes you feel like a nut...sometimes you don't. DH is in meetings, I had no alternate lunch plan and so got a sub from the vending machine. Why? Why do I still look for the most "bang for my buck" when I know I can't eat it all. I took 3 bites out of a $2.50 foot long and here it sits, staring at me saying, "ha ha ha... you dummy." Or, maybe it's the voice in my head saying that.
  18. Yeah..you two and the roosters can be on chat! :juggle:
  19. I just went to main fb page, searched for ghetto quiz...It popped up pretty quick. go to my page...it should be on my profile.
  20. ha! found it...I'm 40% ghetto. But, I don't get it...ghetto is a place, not a quiz. How can that be? *pops bubble gum and twirls hair....
  21. *...ooooh...finding ghetto quiz now. Life is so much fun.
  22. Well, I grew up a 'skins fan, so....can't root for the 'boys. LOL I did make DH's dad a 'boys blanket one year for Christmas (they live in Copperas Cove, near Ft. Hood) and he LOVED it. They teased me endlessly about how hard that must have been! But, since being here, I enjoy college more than pro. But, we are a football house.
  23. DH's one requirement when planning the wedding: not during football season!!!
  24. Thanks Ebony...the worst part is I'm torn because I do have a friendship w/Princess. She's a friend on FB, and we chat at work. We've done over time together on some projects and she's awesome and fun...she just doesn't work. I'm impartial enough to see the good part of her and the bad. I just wish her "leash" were a little tighter, or that she had more respect for the folks here getting fired. Arghghghghh!!!! Sorry....'nuff about layoffs. I know it sucks for everyone everywhere. How 'bout them <insert team name here>?
  25. I have nothing to say here because it's making me laugh too hard to talk or type.... This statement is 100%, totally, absolutely untrue...I'm not a man.
