  1. Genepro unflavored. It really and truly is flavorless. I add it to crystal lite. It can be added to everything!
  2. I've tried Isopure, and didn't like it. I got some Genepro-unflavored off Amazon, and it's 40gms of Protein per table spoon. I mixed it in my Water bottle with crystal light peach tea, and I could only taste the peach tea!!! I found the ONE!!!
  3. Oh, and disregard my ticker....I just figured out how to add one, but I don't have a date yet
  4. YES!!! Keep those receipts!! We're getting so old, and paying everything off, that we need all the deductions we can get! HA!
  5. I like the strawberry sorbet the best!
  6. OMG!! lol I was almost screaming STOP!! You're going to kill yourself!! Then I read the rest of it. whew! nearly called 911 on your a$$!! lol
  7. I just ordered some Syntrax nectar in Cookies and cream, and unflavored GENEPRO off amazon. I saw some really awesome reviews on these. Of course I got them to stockpile, as I can't even enroll in the bariatric plan till 1/2/15, but you better believe, I'll be calling at 8am bright and early to get this party started!!
  8. @@kcsaab Hope all went well! let us know how you are doing!
  9. You also can weigh holding your purse (& 5lb ankle weights work like a dream!) They don't do a purse check.
  10. I'm guessing that bypass patient was back in surgery pretty quickly then, after eating that cr@p. SMH. That is almost hard for me to believe someone can be that ...reckless.
  11. Congratulations! So happy for you! Any chance you are using KC Bariatrics? I see we are neighbors. I'm in Kansas City.
  12. When I made the decision to have this surgery, (in April) I bought a book by Allen Carr. I don't remember the name of it now, but you are supposed to still continue to smoke while reading the book. When you are done with the book, if you have any cigarettes left, you are supposed to throw them away, and never pick up another one. I did it. I smoked for 35 years, a pack a day. I was determined to kick that habit so there would be nothing standing in my way for this life saving surgery. I have not craved a cigarette.I did not use nicotine gum or a patch or lozenges. I did use (and still do) a e-cig with zero nicotine, for the psychological habit. It gets me through stressful times. I gained some weight. I knew I would. But it didn't bother me this time, because I knew I was doing it to save my life. I don't want leaks. I don't want complications. I love, love, love my family and I want to be here a really long time with them. Do yourself a favor.....Don't complain over having to quit cigarettes.....or try to "cheat" in some way. Your life depends on it. Ok, I'm off my soap box now.
  13. YAY you!!! I wish I could say I was that day, but sadly, I have to wait till after Jan 2nd to enroll in the Bariatric program. Best wishes, and keep us all posted!
  14. Wait a while until the pain, anguish and misery of being fat is worse than the thought of death. Nice though, heh? Harsh, but true. You can DO this!
  15. Holy smokes Sharie24!! You look amazing! Color this gal jealous!
  16. I can't upload a photo of myself right side up?? This cow is nice though.
  17. Let us know when you are up and around, and how you're doing. Those of us who are still waiting in the wings to improve out health are living vicariously though you and others who are ahead of us. Best wishes, and a BIG thumbs up to you!
  18. HI Terry. I'm Sherrie. I have had a few falls in the past year, and luckily I didn't break anything. But Getting up from a fall is not an easy task when you're a large woman. I would hate to think what I'd of done if my husband hadn't been here when I fell. My BMI is 42, I thought it was right at 40, but I've lost 2 inches in height. Dang gravity! But with a BMI of 42, sleep apnea, 6 months of dr diet, bloodwork done, documentation of over 5 years of unsuccessful on-stop dieting should cinch it for me, I would hope. I am super determined to do this, and to be successful, whatever it takes. I will see you there. Once I am approved, I will post an actual photo of myself on here. But I don't want to jinx it for myself, you see, I'm sure people I know are on this site. UHC covers wls. So, cross your fingers for me for January 2, when I call them for an appt. See ya!!
  19. I ordered a sample pack of unjury just to see if it was something I would be able to tolerate afterward, and I don't like it. The unflavored is nasty! I may just stick to whatever the bariatric center has for sale, and Sams Club. I'm real close to the new one on Parallel, so no probs stocking up! I hope I get an opportunity to meet you one day at a meeting. Oh! I had my 5th of 6th Dr's supv Diet visits, and I actually lost 2 pounds this time! Thank goodness I will finally show a loss! They wanted to talk me out of surgery and into diet pills. They had a NEW Diet pill I would be a good candidate for. I am mid 50's with a BMI around 42, I have health insurance for only a couple more years before I retire. I don't have time to test pills, only to fail again. I want this done once and for all, and ain't nobody gonna talk me out of it! (Just thought I'd share) Take Care!
  20. So happy for you! Thanks for the info about the Bariatric Center. I have not heard one bad thing about that place or the staff. I sure hope to be able to post something just as awesome in a couple months. Keep us in the loop! Let us know how you are doing!
  21. I intend to use my Vitamix a ton! As expensive as that thing was, its about time it paid for itself!
