  1. What is the difference between carbonate and citrate?
  2. I'm ready to get out and kill it however my doctor cautioned me against doing a heavy duty work out for at least two months. I have been getting in 4 miles of walking/running every 3 days. I feel like I'm not losing enough with all of this being done and eating properly, but now that I've looked at a lot of my January buddies, we are all around the same mark for weight loss so I guess my 35 lbs isn't that bad! Best wishes on your work out and keep up the good work! I need to find some more motivation so I can burn off more weight.
  3. I am and it's driving me nuts. I stalled at week three and then week five I dropped ten. Now I'm on week seven and I feel like I'm stalling again. I'm losing a pound here or there. Maybe my expectations are off! I know I don't want to lose it too fast. All together from pre surgery to after surgery I've lost 35 which is amazing...I know! I can tolerate any food also, but I'm doing really good to not introduce bad stuff back into my new stomach and life! I'm getting in 4 miles of walking at least three times a week. I want to get a trainer again and join a gym, so more to come!

  6. I've been MIA, but finally five weeks out and the stall has broke this week! YAY! I was getting so depressed and tired of seeing no movement and then all of a sudden 5 more lbs fall off. This proceudre is truly teaching me patience, self control, and endurance! I hope all of you have been well and are hanging in there! Much success to everyone!

  9. I'm at three weeks and I can't break out of the 230's and it's irritating my nerves! I need to up my game on working out. I am hoping it kicks back into gear next week! I'm going back to work on Monday so things are going to be a little different!

  11. @ downsizingdiva I added a bit of chicken broth and teryakii sauce and it was moist enough to go down.
  12. Today was my first day on pureed food and I was in heaven I had 1/4 of cream of wheat and a soft scrambled egg. I couldn't even eat it all, but it felt good to feel a little normal and not have a shake or smoothie, or soup! Dinner was a pureed chicken leg which wasn't bad at all. If I can make it past these two weeks, then I can do anything! Lawd help me!

  16. I'm down a total of 26lbs since I started my pre-op diet and that makes 12 lbs loss since surgery on 1/12. I am definitely ready for the next phase. It's been tough holding on to eating liquids only and water. I've had my fill of protein shakes and would like to get to pureed sooner than later! LOL! I have been trying to mix things up and try a variety of soups and that has helped but a girl is ready to actually chew on something of substance. So Monday is my big day and I've already started planning in my mind all the healthy things I can puree, or get in that are soft!!! YAY! I hope you guys are doing well and healing well! SM

  20. I'm post op four days now and I'm starting to feel hunger pains despite being on a liquid diet still. I've been told I have two more weeks of this and then I can go on to puree once I have my follow up visit. This is driving me insane because I feel if I eat something I'll feel better in the tummy. SIGH!!!!!
  21. OMG....this is me. It's the worst. My hospital stay and after surgery experience was pleasant, no vomitting, or fever...nothing. But when it comes to drinking or swallowing I keep having this same pain Jamie mentioned right in between my rib cage. I am hoping that this dies down soon, so I can get into the swing of things. I just got home yesterday, and slept pretty good throughout the night. It ranges from the feeling of hunger to constriction of liquids. I am miserable with this.

  23. Ladies I completely understand. I truly had to keep myself busy during the two week liquid diet. I painted several rooms, cleaned carpets, changed bedrooms, organized cabinets, and anything else to keep me from focusing on eating. I lost a total of 15lbs during this time and I have to be honest there were a few days that I didn't succeed and managed to eat a small salad. I didn't go nuts, but I couldn't resist the need to eat something. (i know, bad me) Surgery was on Monday and went well. I'm extremely tired from the anesthesia, and morphine prescribed, but I'm slowly but surely coming around. Having gas was the worse part of surgery and learning not to swallow more than I should is a new experience. Other than that, I'm looking forward to this new lifestyle. I'm on high Protein diet now to help with healing, and I"m hoping that goes well also.

  25. It went well. I've got to get over being gassy before I can go home, other than that it went well. I've been trying to walk to get over it, but it's not working.
  26. Wonderful! Glad to hear all went okay. If I can get this gas to pass I will be discharged today.
  27. Well, I'm settled in after surgery but full of gas! If that could subside I'd be into something. I've been trying to walk every hour for a few minutes. How did you make out?
