Did anyone fake their 6 months supervised weight loss?
Now THAT is awesome!!

Did anyone fake their 6 months supervised weight loss?
It has to be verified by the physician that the patient met with the Dr every month for 6 months, without fail. So, no way to fake it. And why would your friend want to? It's really a part of the process that is "necessary", and truly, the wait seemed long, but it really wasn't. As I look back, I regret nothing. Me being a rule follower is something the Psych honed in on, and made me a perfect candidate for the surgery. A cheater will likely fail, just my 2 cents.

How do you break the stall?
LIMIT DAIRY!! Are you on regular foods yet? cheese and milk, etc "hidden fats". Once I focused on meat Proteins and not dairy proteins I was able to break my stalls. I have dairy still, just not every day.

Why Getting Sleeved was the Biggest Mistake of My Life
There wasn't anything good on TV tonight. This entertained me for a while though. I just can't imagine jumping into surgery 2 weeks after you hear about it. That, in my opinion, is irresponsible. Wishing everyone the best.

What Do You Think About the Gastric Balloon?
I believe I would fail. I've lost weight prior to surgery, but gained it back, and I really believe I am one who need the restriction for longer than 6 months. But, that's just me. I hope it works for others. That would be awesome.

Advice needed: how do you take your Bariatric Advantage vitamins?
Get one of those pill reminder things from your pharmacy. Mine has 4 slots with snap shut lids. Three for calcium and one for the multi chewable. And I take the first multi chewable upon waking, with an omeprazole. Then the Calcium 2 hours later, and 2 or 2.5 hours I take another calcium chew, and so on. And I take my 2nd Omeprazole with my last pill section of the pill reminder thingy. Just space them out every 2 hours or so as Atontor states above. It's really not a big deal. Don't let that be your deal breaker. It is the greatest thing I have ever done for my health.

Im so overwhelmed
I kept my bariatric notebook that I got from my bariatric team on my dining room table so I could see what I could have at each phase. It's not really that tough. You'll be fine.

Spouse Not Supportive, any advice?
My surgery and recovery went amazingly well, as did everyone I know who had it. (and I know A LOT of people who have had it). If you are going to a Bariatric Center of Excellence, you are in good hands. I was out walking 3-5 miles per day a week post op!

When did you get your EGD?
My EGD was done after approval for surgery, and two weeks prior to surgery...in case of H-Pylori, and the need to be on antibiotics for 2 weeks if I had had H-pylori (which I didn't). Good luck!

Do you eat Yogurt? What brand? What sort of toppings do you add to it?

Do you eat Yogurt? What brand? What sort of toppings do you add to it?
If you like the taste of Jello, I like to do this.....I mix up 1 pkg of sugar free jello with a cup of hot Water and stir till the jello is dissolved. Then slowly mix it into a cup of plain Greek yogurt and then refrigerate it. The texture is like "whipped" yogurt and the flavor is amazing! My favorites are lemon and peach. Orange is good too.

I am flat out hungry (rant)
I was super hungry too, up until my 3rd month. I never gave in to the hunger..I weighed and measured, and ate only my 3 meals per my NUT's instructions, and then one day, out of the blue, I stopped being hungry. It was an actual "moment" when I noticed the hungry went away. I discussed it with my psych, and he said I was right on track, and it was perfectly normal. So, hang in there, it will resolve itself. Just do what your NUT advises.
