The Power Crunch Crips bars in Sweet vanilla Dream and chocolate Brownie Wonder are delicious. As are the Premier Protein Fiber bars in Peanut Butter Caramel and chocolate Mint.

Buffalo chicken salad all day:
canned chicken
2 oz. blue cheese crumbles
small container plain Greek yogurt
chopped celery/onion
garlic powder/dill (or a 1/2 packet of ranch seasoning)
S&P
Frank's Red Hot to taste
This is my absolute favorite and the above recipe makes enough for the week. It's on my lunch menu today!

I love capers. LOVE.

Like most of you, I miss being able to eat what I want, as much as I want. Like pizza and tacos and stuff like that.
I don't miss being afraid to sit down someplace new thinking I was going to break the chair.

- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

This is my lunch go-to; I eat it almost every day and never seem to get tired of it:
Shredded chicken breast, about 9 oz. (I usually poach my own, but I've also used canned or the Perdue Short Cuts)
2 oz. crumbled blue cheese
5.3 oz container plain Greek yogurt
chopped celery/onion
garlic powder/dried dill/S&P to taste
Frank's Red Hot until it's at your preferred spice level.
This lasts me all week, and I typically eat it with Pork rinds or 34 degree crackers.

I'm wearing low rise jeans. I just don't have the curvy hips to fill out other jeans.
Yeah, low rise is my choice, too. If they're anything else, they look like jodhpurs. LOL

I'm a rectangle. LOL It's hard to find pants because everything is cut for women with hips and I ain't got 'em.

I'm in Syracuse; had my RNY on 7/17/14.

OMG, this totally happened to me around that weight loss mark. I needed to find my center of gravity again. One time I fell over when I was getting up from the couch. I used a little too much "oomph" to get to a standing position and momentum just kept me going forward until I face planted on the ottoman.

At this point I've lost 85% of my excess body weight and I'm just over 11 months out. Eyes on the prize, baby!
Like anaxila said, averages are just that.

Are you walking?

This happens to me too, especially the chocolate based Quest flavors. I think I'm sensitive to the sugar alcohols or something. I can only eat half at a time and even then it's iffy. The mint Quest flavor was particularly bad and sent me running for the bathroom within 30 minutes. So, I finally learned my lesson and just gave up on the Protein bars. If I'm on the run I'll carry stuff like beef Jerky, nuts or Pork rinds.< /p>

I'm in Syracuse! It's pretty rough at the beginning, but it gets easier for sure. I'm 11 months out.

The learning curve is steep. I had lots of days in the first couple of months where I just cried because I hated everything, nothing tasted good, and I was pissed because even though nothing tasted good, I couldn't even finish what I was eating. LOL
I promise you it gets better.

I haven't used the shakes/drinks since very early out, at my surgeon's request. That was a very good thing, because I couldn't stomach most of them. I do, however, have a Click Mocha Protein espresso from time to time because it's delicious!

Hi I'm from Syracuse and am having my surgery with dr Graber on the 28th this month. Kinda nervous and excited. How is the pain after surgery? Can you still swallow medications that you need to take? Thanks all.
Yay for you! I didn't really have much pain, but the gas discomfort was no joke. It was like up around my shoulders and made it difficult to get comfy. But, walking the halls relieved it a little, so I did a lot of that. And I was able to swallow pills right away without any problems.

I love this idea so hard. I mostly lurk these days, but the idea of a Vet's Forum is very appealing. I'm 2 years out next month and my needs/questions/concerns are much different now from when I was a newbie.
