Are you kidding me lol...A debate over a chicken wing and not a brownie. Oh we have to start somewhere ladies and if it is a chicken wing then so be it...eating normally is a great accomplishment in this program. Increasing real food intake is imperative to good health.
I am sure that she will not eat only chicken wings for the rest of her life...I have been known to put down a wing or two myself once in a while. They are darn tasty!
18 months after surgery I still cannot eat beef, pork or chicken breasts and tuna makes me gag. If it wasn't for dark chicken meat I would be living on cheese and eggs...Or the like... @@Carlotta1 . It is a learning curve to see what you can and cannot tolerate. At this state in the game a chicken wing is good news...However a brownie would have been something for her to worry about!

My surgeon also warned me to stay away from breast meat for the first 6 months bc it tends to be dry & may cause pouch distress. I don't eat dark meat, never have, so the wing is all that I am left with LOL. My family & I have recently switched to Organic meat & I must say it tastes AMAZING!! Or maybe I was just starving

Mrs.Fox reacted to Raine in You know you lost weight when
When you weigh yourself and you can look straight down without BOB (big ole' belly) getting in your line of sight to see the number!

When someone tells you to go buy a belt cause you a consistently having to pull up your pants. And your daughter tells you to change your pants because you are bagging in your crotch! LOL! I loved that one but still wore them because I haven't been in them in three years. I bought them new and thought if I just lost a little weight I could get in them (and be comfortable). I gained instead. Now I can wear them but not for much longer and I am so happy about that!

When you lay on your side and you can feel your knee bones rub together for the first time and it feels weird so you put a pillow between your legs.

So, in order not to avoid nausea & vomiting I have to take 1 bite of food every 30 minutes. I mean I'm only on the mushy foods stage, but damn it takes 3 hours to eat half of a potato

That is awesome!
Go to the grocery store and pick up two hand baskets. Go over to the baking section and put a 10# bag of sugar in each one. Walk around the store for 10 minutes like this returning the bags to their shelf.
Walk out of the store with a huge smile on your face knowing you never have to carry those around again.

Hi I'm 7 days post op and feel great! I've been out and about the last two days and ready for work! I do get tired but I feel good! It does hurt when I swallow especially at the beginning but as each day passes it has almost gone away. Each day does get better trust me. Just take it one day at a time and trust in God he will take care of you!
