I went to Disneyland and decided to ride the rollercoasters! I was able to fit with extra belt left over on the restraints. I can fit in smaller underwear, I was in a size 9 I am now in a size 7. Tried on a pair of size 14 trousers and they fit.

soda
I have tried soda and it DOES NOT agree with me. It causes gas in my stomach and pain in my esophagus. Do not and will not have soda again.

For VG 10 cc Bandsters ONLY
I am 4 months out and three fills later and have the VG 10cc band and am starting to feel restriction at 4.5cc. I can still eat more than a cup of food at each setting though but I do experience slime if I eat too fast or too much. Hopefully I will hit that sweet spot soon.

I have dropped two sizes, from a size 20 to a 16! Everyone at work noticed how petite I am. My boyfriend told me, "you are getting such a cute little body". :-) My feet have lost weight. My boobs are diminishing I was looking at old pics of me today and can't believe that it was actually me. I am able to go up 3 flights of stairs without getting winded My face is sooooo much thinner I cut my hair shorter than usual and it looks great! Should be in a size 14 by next month.

Why does it feel like there is always something stuck??
I have the ame feeling and it is driving me crazy. I hate that feeling. I was told by other banders that my band is too tight. They also have commented that they have a lot of restriction when they are about to start their monthly "Friend".

bulging feeling in my throat
I guess that the band is tight because TOM will be in town next week. I am suppose to have a fill on the 26th of this month. I'll go in to see the doctor but I might opt out on getting a fill. Thanks for your help

bulging feeling in my throat
I have been having this bulging feeling in my throat as if something is stuck in there. I even wake up in the morning with this feeling. What could this possibly be? Also my 1st fill was December 19th. Now all of a sudden I am feeling so much restriction, I just experienced my first slime on Monday plus a PB. Why would all of a sudden would I start feeling like this? It seems as if my band has tightened even a month later and I haven't changed my eating habits either. Does anyone have any ideas why or have any suggestions? Thanks.

Flipped port operation
Not too painful it was an easier surgery the second time took me more time to recover than the first surgery. found out my port is flipped after Dr was trying to give me my first fill. Going back tomorrow to have it restiched under general. just how painful is it? hope this doesnt lead to future problems

my lapband story -- its not pretty (long post, but please read)
In my opinion, I would find a good lawyer and sue your surgeon for negligence. There is no way in he** that I would pay for a band removal. If you find a lawyer, he will either take the case or not take the case. After he takes the case he will refer you to his doctors and get a second opinion. These doctors that the lawyers send people are specialists and they usually know what they are doing. This is the way I would go. Good luck and sorry to hear about your misfortune.

I'm having some problems and wondering...
Since my lapband surgery in Spetember 07, I have had 3 fills. I am wondering why you haven't had more fills.

Can stop crying, I don't known what Im doing!
You will lose weight, and you probably have and don't notice it. After the surgery, your stomach is very swollen from the trauma that it had just experienced. Stay on your liquids and make sure you get 60-70gms of protein a day.
-
weird problem
I am thinking that the protein shake expands once it hits a certain temperature. I would not heat my protein. I know with the unjury chicken broth, the instructions say to use very warm water. I noticed when I use boiling water, the protein curdles. Yikes!!! Try to stay away from hot protein.

Flipped port operation
I had my port flip all the way around. The doctor tried to flip it back into place inside the office. It was impossible to do so I was scheduled for surgery. I was put under general aneesthesia and the large cut where the port was inserted, was re-cut and the port replaced. It is just about the same surgery that you already had but your only cut once. I bounced back quickly with the first surgery but the second really kicked me in the butt!!! It has now been six weeks since I had the second surgery and I am now much better.

Tell me about that 1st full day you were home
It could be that you are drinking too fast. That can cause pain in the chest cavity area too.

Post-Op Exercise/Mobility Regimen
I drove around town 3 days after. ie... taking and picking kids up from school. Would not take pain medicine until I went to sleep at night. I walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and then, I walked some more. :-)

BAD start to the liquid diet, and I don't feel I can tell my doc
You are OK, right now but YOY MUST STAY ON THAT LIQUID DIET. The reason being is that the doctor is trying to get the fat away from your liver. Do you know that your liver is right behind the stomach? It could be very easy to cut into it. That is why it is SOOOOOOO important for that liquid diet. If you stay on track now, you should be O.K.
