I freak at the thought of needles, but surgery wasn't that bad. You have your iv, and that's really all you feel. I had blood drawn that night in the hospital, and a shot to prevent blood clots. As much as I hate them, they didn't bother me.
Now, can't say anything about fills, but I hear they are just a pinch

Tracy -- so excited for you! The way I looked at it that was twenty never to be seen again. I am six months out and so, so happy with this decision. Good luck for your big day. I found an excellent sense of humor a good thing to have on hand -- the gown and gurney (I had never been an overnight patient in a hospital before), the ridiculous forms, etc. I felt like every one was there to take care of me. I walked ASAP after surgery -- every time I thought I had to pee (that is me at 52) I walked up and down as much as possible. Over-rode all signals for lazing out and just went for it, up and down the halls. Then at home next day round and round the driving circle. I really feel like this gave my body the signal HEY WE ARE SERIOUS and kicked everything into gear. Wishing you the very best!

So my new life as a banded women will begin in 2 days. What a 2 weeks this has been. I am down 19 pounds. Thought it was17 pounds I bought a new scale and it shows 19 pounds. I really hope in the next 2 days I can lose 1 more pound to make it 20 pounds. I'm not really nervous at this moment but come Friday it will be different.

On day 8 of pre-op. I had carpel tunnel surgery 4 days ago. The pain from that has taking away most thoughts of hunger. This Friday is my day !! Whoot Whoot

Well tomorrow morning I will be at the hospital, I had a reminder call as well as reminding me not to eat after midnight (like I have done that anyways, LOL) anxiety has taken a toll, I haven't even gotten my bag together!!! I was debating on what to ware home as it says not to ware anything tight on your waist, so what has everyone else worn home from the hospital? Also, what are some good drinks for the first few days, the doctors note says to try the clear Protein drinks but they same to have really bad reviews? Should I just stick with tea, Water, and maybe Gatorade? Good luck to everyone else!!

Im into day 5... not really hungry anymore, yet I am looking for food. Lost 8 lbs so far. Ladies, chin up we can do this! Lots of luck to you all

I am having my surgery May 16, started the preop diet on Friday May 2, not crazy about it but following it replacing two meals with two Protein Shakes and a lean and green meal I the evening.
