I can't wear a 6 in every pair... but when I found this pair that fit nice and was a 6, you KNOW I bought them in 2 different colors! lol I can't believe I fit in them either. My wildest dream with the WLS would be to get down to about a size 10. I still have 15 pounds to get to my conservative goal... if I can hit that easily and keep losing I will -- 140 would be a BMI of 25 for me, so I could drop a little lower and still be healthy. No idea what size jean that will be! lol

I actually wore size 0 and 2 in high school, so a size 6 thirty years later ain't too shabby!

      pupichupi

@Ginger Snaps, I think it's awesome, I am down to a size 14 and couldn't believe it when I put those on I could emagine a 6? I don't think I will get that low, but at this point you never know, I was also thinking a 10 would be perfect? I can't remember the last time I was a size 10 if ever? lol, Congrats girl, you are doing amazing!!!

  4. One week shy of 1 year anniversary -- 10 pounds below goal and in a swimsuit for Memorial Day!!! Rockin' it!

LoL nice, I am dressing up too for the first time since I was a kid out going trick or treating, but my costume isn't sexy at all, we are all being clowns and I have these big baggy overalls? lol

    3. Ginger Snaps

      Ginger Snaps

Mine wasn't really intended to be sexy -- most adult costumes are pure tramp and this was the most "conservative" one I could find! But I'm LOVING it!

Would just be funny if my brain would believe it... I took them out this morning to wear and looked at the butt and thought... "no way my butt is that small"... even after I put them on and can even breathe in them, my brain keeps saying no way... It's crazy when your brain argues with what HAS to be reality!

  13. Officially moved my weight back up 2 pounds... I haven't done that before because a day or two weight gain always dropped back down but this one's been around long enough now to change the tracker. :( Oh well... onward and upward -- I'm gonna keep doing what's worked so far.

Look, it could be anything from hormonal, water, or simply omitting something that you have started loving to eat. I stand with you, onwards and upwards, or downwards shall I say :)

    3. Ginger Snaps

      Ginger Snaps

Thanks @jodie1961 -- I was always amazed at how much younger people looked in their after pictures and I've been shocked to do that too!

@BladeFox -- I know, it's natural -- I'm just so close to goal (within 10 pounds) and it's irritating to see that scale go up. Hormones, yes -- eating is still very on track so I don't think it's an eating issue. Of course the first thing that comes to mind is "Is this where my body wants to stay?" But, I'm not giving up on it yet. I'll just keep on keeping on and YES, onwards and DOWNWARDS!

They say the last pounds are the hardest, BUT, it doesn't have to be for everyone. You got this lady!

Same here. Even though I can get into a smaller size than 10 months ago, I keep buying clothes that are way too big. For as big as I still am, I am not as big as I think I am.

    3. Ginger Snaps

      Ginger Snaps

Thanks ladies... it's just hard to wrap my head around. Today, laying in bed, I checked just to see and I can almost wrap my hands completely around one thigh. And the size 6 jeans I'm wearing are sagging in the butt and I have a date tomorrow night, so I'm going to get the size 4's today in the same brand. But when I look in the mirror I don't feel skinny. But a SIZE 4 JEAN??? I MUST be small, right? Just so weird.

      shmily

That is one thing I dont have a problem with this time around. In fact I become a bit vain LOL

  15. Sitting at the same weight for a week now... if this pound doesn't drop and get me to the halfway point soon, I'm going to start cutting off appendages to drop the weight! :)

@Ginger Snaps - That is SOOOO exciting!! You are doing SOOO well!!! I too avoid using the word stall. I have been hitting the gym regularly (atleast 5 times per week), tracking everything - my concern is that I may not be eating enough. I know my body needs more calories for the work outs that I do, however I physically can't eat more. Hoping I break free from this sticky point quickly!! :)

    3. Ginger Snaps

      Ginger Snaps

I hear you @Zoey716 -- I had to add in more calories when I started working out hard -- my nutritionist told me to add in some carbs (veggies/fruits) because you need it for the energy to workout. But I can't really seem to get a lot more calories without cutting down on the protein. I get around 600-800 calories a day but need to kick up the protein more -- I haven't been hitting 60 lately.

    4. Zoey716

      Zoey716

@Ginger Snaps - Same here!! I get in the same # of calories as you. I've been trying to add in more fruit and veggies (salad with a protein at lunch and a piece of fruit for a snack). I'm still low on protein - anywhere from 55-65 grams most days. Hoping with the increase in carbs that will help the scale! (Weird that now we are trying to eat more to lose!?!) :)

  16. Hurt my hip - can't exercise... scale has stayed the same for 10 days straight now - going crazy but I'll keep keeping on

Hang in there girl, it will move again. I have been stuck for almost 2 weeks now. But, I figure our bodies have to do some catching up. I haven't been able to walk/exercise for about 3 weeks, so I am sure that is part of it as well. I am going to keep keeping on too!

      Ginger Snaps

So, yesterday I complained, today I dropped that next pound. Complaining obviously burns a lot of calories! I knew weight loss would get slower the closer I got to goal so I expected this. Makes it a little easier to swallow.

    4. Beni

      Beni

Nope, it was a fluke, I complain all the time and it doesn't work. Wait, maybe it only works for WLS patients. I GOT TO GET SOME! LOL

Hip is better... was a little worried about just going all out this morning but so far, it's not hurting any more than it was. It's inflammation and it takes a while to go away. Have fun later!

    3. Zoey716

      Zoey716

Ice. Ice. Ice!! And have you tried using a foam roller before? They hurt but help!! Hope you're feeling better soon!!

    4. Ginger Snaps

      Ginger Snaps

Problem is it's really deep in the joint... ice doesn't touch it. I use a foam roller but it really doesn't do anything for the hip. Stretching does but when it's inflammed really bad the only thing that really helps is rest. This is the worst it's been in a very long time which is annoying since I've taken 50 pounds of weight off of it... it should be happy! :)

    1. pupichupi

      pupichupi

LMAO, I do it all the time, and then the next week I drop like 2 or 3 lbs, it's funny???

    2. labwalker

      labwalker

Yes, it is frustrating! I've lost several pounds in a under a week, only to see most of it come back a day later. Fluid retention plays games with our minds! Keep the faith.

      jodie1961

      Ginger Snaps

@Zoey716 -- the assessment went well. I was a little disappointed that I hadn't improved more in some areas... still weak in core; arms were much better and more flexible... hips/legs still very tight but a little better. Gotta work that core more (which I hate!)

Thanks @RJ'S/beginning -- I am finally starting to get comments at work -- I think people are afraid to say anything until it's just obvious -- just like when you think somebody is pregnant! :)

  23. One more pound, halfway there. Two more pounds, I'm officially overweight and not obese!
