Sassypants92201 got a reaction from LipstickLady in When you can't even be honest with yourself
I agree with Lexie. I don't spread my business at all. I AM indeed a private person. I don't share my salary, tax bracket, political stance, how much I paid for my house, my credit score. Heck, unless I knew you, personally, you didn't know I was pregnant. My fb friends knew after he was born and his dad tagged me in a pic.
I wouldn't tell anyone if I had heart surgery. What do I look like telling anyone I had weight loss surgery?
And who are you to judge me or anyone else. Shame on you.

@LipstickLady. " I have always found those who are able to maintain privacy admirable and extremely trustworthy. Strength is often found in silence." Thank you.

So making the statement that those of us who don't tell all/share all are dishonest, full of BS, ashamed, etc. is respectful? Seriously? :thud:

I am going to try and say only one more thing on this topic and then I am going to move on to more positive threads.
I am absolutely thrilled that so many people are open about their surgery. I am excited that they are excited and that they are so willing to share. I love to see their confidence soar as the pounds drop and if they want to shout how they did it from the rooftops, I will happily hold the ladder.
I am also happy and excited for those who had this procedure done and choose to share only with their loved ones or even just us here on these boards. I have always found those who are able to maintain privacy admirable and extremely trustworthy. Strength is often found in silence.
Either way, the choice we make in this situation is one that is only ours to make. No one has the right to come here and make ANYONE feel bad, guilty or embarrassed about the path they are choosing. None of us should feel guilted into being an "advocate". No one should be bullied into sharing what they hold close about their health. No one should be called names or accused of being a liar. That's shameful and wrong.
I love discussion, I love debate, I love a healthy exchange of ideas. What I do not love is someone coming to a support forum where feelings are fragile, emotions are running high, and some are still unsure about the choices they are making. No one deserves to have their feelings mocked or ridiculed and that is exactly what the OP has done here. It's even more appalling that the OP can be considered a "vet", someone who should understand how difficult this journey can be. I'm still floored that this topic was even started.

I do love a good debate.
What if it was HIV or if you needed surgery for urinary incontinence? Would you be quick to share this information with everyone you work with? I've known lots of people that are private about their health.
I did not share my surgery information with the world. I also do not share details about any of my other surgeries or past health issues other than a random cold. I'm just not big on sharing.
I also don't tell people how much money I make or how much I spent on my house. Not everyone is an open book.

Sassypants92201 got a reaction from LipstickLady in Dr. Jalil Illan with Baja Bariatrics and Omar Acosta - A Warning
I have been following this and I can tell there are alot of personal issues between some of you all.
Having had my surgery in Mexico, I will say there are HUGE differences between our medical systems and theirs. Behavior like this would not be allowed in the United States and Omar would be fired and there could be a lawsuit.
I do think it's a good warning to give people and they can do what they want with it.
Y'all are making this into something much bigger than it needs to be.

Sassypants92201 got a reaction from JCP in Thinking of going vegan
I have done vegan diets before and I LOVE the vegan way! You can get your Proteins and be vegan! Google sample vegan diet plans or buy a book.
We don't eat much meat, at all, and we only eat organic. I would like to make the switch to total vegan within the next year.

I was self pay. Rash is getting worse and has spread. I am going to urgent care now.
I do have insurance but I don't like to go to the Dr unless I have to. I feel insurance costs are so high because people jump and go to the Dr over every little thing. But that's a whole different message board.

Yes, I understand Dr is always best but I do not like to waste insurance money and Dr time, my time going to the Dr when I don't have to.

I love, love, love T25. I tried P90X years ago and it wasn't my thing. I also love that it's 25 min. I do it right when I wake up (I don't work mornings) to get it out of the way. My 2 year old son does it also. Lol

It's crazy because now I get upset when I'm not losing a pound a day. I'm down 16 lbs as of this morning.

They gave me a steroid shot and a steroid prescription for home. The rash is gone but I'm still itchy in some places. I switched to muscle milk because it's dairy free.
