  1. As soon as I saw your sign on I almost jumped!!! You helped me right in the beginning. Not sure if you remember back in Oct. I am so glad to hear you are doing well.
  2. I got mine at Sears. Playtex and I love it.
  3. So glad you guys started this I was feeling horrible after these holidays. I only lost one pound in 2 weeks. I am at my second fill. I needed this motivation.
  4. I quit drinking soda in Aug. and I only drink about 2 glasses of water a day but I have about 4-6 cups of green tea. What do you think about green tea?
  5. Hang in there. I am sad to hear that the nurse was so rude. 2 lbs give me a break I can do that with one meal. LOL The band is not doing what it is supposed to do yet so ofcourse you are hungry she should know and understand that and furthermore why would you have this surgery if you were able to stick to a strict DIET! Good luck and hang in there. We are here to support you anytime.
  6. I did the exact same thing this morning. I put on some jeans today that I was not able to get into in Aug! OMG this is wonderful, I can't wait to loose more.
  7. That is great advice, I have a friend who told me something similar today. She is not depriving herself with anything. This is not to suffer but to control your weight.
  8. I agree Isabella I think TLBC is awesome. Thx for starting this for us TLBCers.... I was banded on Oct 19 and doing pretty good so far. I have not really taken any pain meds and trying to get Jello and Water down but the chest pain hurts. Especially when I try and laugh. Talk to you all soon nancy
  9. Thank you for that. It is comforting actually. I am scheduled for next week first thing in the morning.
  10. I can sympathize with you all. I started my pre-op and have had a migraine for 2 days now. I had to take advil last night or I was going to die. The nurse told me if I really had to go ahead. I am going to try to stay off everything at least the week before surgery. Is it weird or crazy or could splenda/sweetners be the cause of my migrains. I know for that I added a crystal light (red) to my water a few days ago and I think that it triggered it.
  11. I wonder if someone can answer that for me please too. I had to take an advil yesturday, and I am on my pre-op. I had a really bad migraine and had no choice but to take something. I knw you are not supposed to take any before surgery and I will try not to at least one week before.
  12. Thanks Doddie. I had no coffee today. I am going to call the nurse on Tues and ask if I can have a protein shake. I suffer from migraines too and had a massive one but can't take anything for the next two weeks. I hope I can survive this.
  13. Thanks JJ. Funny you gave me the recipe above and my mom is making something similar for me today with chicken/spinach for thanksgiving dinner cuz I can't have the turkey. O well today will be a challenge.
  14. Can I get some help? I started my pre-op yesturday and I am feeling sick. I am not hungry but maybe I am having too much coffee. Yesturday I only had 2 yogurts, cottage cheese, red peppers and cucumbers and 1.5L of water. Any suggestions.
  15. Hey JJSmiles, I started my pre-op today. Banding scheduled for Oct 19. I am so excited and I think I did pretty good today. I actually went the day without cheating! I hope I can get through this.
