  1. I did Lori...you are a bit in the dumps!!! I am probably not the best one to answer your post, but want you to know that where you are right now I was feeling before I was banded...it is not a good place to be. You have gotten way farther than lots of people. I am not sure what has you so discouraged, but know we are out here just to listen and maybe help you get motivated again. I am a newbie at this...about 4 months out...have only lost 40 lbs so far and am at a stall that has lasted awhile now, but I go get my 3rd fill Thursday and hoping that it will be the magic one, if not then I will wait for my next one. It is hard when you get depressed...and I know that you are almost 2 years out...but have you thought of maybe starting a new exercise program? I personally have not been exercising for over 3 yrs and just (the past three days) started riding on my new trike and going to the pool to do some walking. I am flabby too and I'm only started can only think of what I will look like, but I just want the weight off and feel better. Some days are harder than others...but I am thankful for each one I have. I hope you continue to post to keep me up on your day's and let me know if you think of doing something new...exercise actually get's me in a good mood. You hang in there dear one...let me know if you need anything okay!!! You will get out of this rut...I can just feel it!!!
  2. keeping you in my prayers dearheart...let us hear from you soon!!!
  3. thanks carolinagirl for the encouragement...I agree each movement brings me closer to a healthier living!!! I ache today, but will continue on...LOL!!! btw I like the new sneakers too cool!!!
  4. Oreo4972 You are one brave Lady!!!
  5. thanks readysetgo611 for the pep talk!!! truly appreciated!!!
  6. I so know that water or anything you drink would NOT undo a block on me...it is very painful and drinking something made it even worse-just like TMF said ...be careful!!!
  7. well I know I am never going to get where most are on here-but I made my first trip back to the pool after about 3 yrs...but the good thing is that I actually did a mile in 36 minutes...which I don't remember being that hard, but I got through it, did a few other exercises that they gave me to do after my knee replacement surgery in the pool too...so I know I will be sore it will be a good sore...thanks everyone for continuing posting on here it helps me so much to stay motivated. Good nite!!!
  8. well I got the chicken taco salad without the shell...this restaurant didn't do well on the chicken part mostly cheese, sour cream, guacamole and lettuce...so merely ate what chicken there was and the lettuce...it was enough...thanks everyone for the ideas!!! now I need to make it through Wednesday and I'll be okay!!! thanks again!!!
  9. very cool!!!
  10. I ate mashed potatoes, applesauce, sweet potatoes, tuna really moisted down with low fat mayo, I did eat mushy fish too...anything you can eat that you can mush or puree worked for me...soups thicker creamer ones-pureed no chunks. I couldn't get into all that food that I really like pureed down-just the thought of it made me sorta sick...LOLRH!!! oatmeal too and pureed scrambled eggs. but if you ask the doctor should give you a list of foods you can try as well!!! as his nurse or a dietitian about it okay? best wishes to ya dlamp112
  11. NO GOWALKING I HAVE TO SAY YOU ARE THE ONE AND ONLY PERSON I KNOW THAT HAS GOTTEN HIT ON BY A GAY GUY...HE SOUNDS SO SWEET!!! PICK ME UP OFF THE FLOOR LOLRH!!!
  12. betty_s I have you on my calendar to say a little prayer for you on Thursday...will be thinking good thoughts for you and CONGRATS ON THOSE 12 LBS. terisis and tashautah you both will be like her too in just a few days...take care and hang in there dearhearts!!!
  13. I'd say give catfish87 a message...he does alot of those things...very healthy and lots of different execising!!! best wishes to you both (anume937 & roxysanchez)!!!
  14. I haven't done the kid's meals either, but it is good choice...but most of the time when I look at the kids meals they seem like stuff I don't want to be eating in the first place...grilled cheese, mac n cheese etc. LOL...but its a good idea and if I see something I want I will give myself that option. I like alot of folks like the larger portions, for I usually can eat off of something for three meals. so I order and ask them right away to bring me a to go box. I too have a card saying I've had surgery and if need too will use it someday...but until then I am going to try to be aware of the sizes of my meal. This week is a bit of a challenge to me, I start a new job next week and have been asked out by office folks here to lunch-one is at a mexician restaurant (my fav) and the other is a place that's called the Market City Cafe (sandwiches and Pasta and salads). the problem is I get my 3rd fill this week as well and weighed in...so I know that salads are in my view on the menu-because this is the time I wish they did have kids menu's but neither place does. I want to have a good time, but I don't want to be way over on my calories either. so here is thinking SMALL PORTIONS...SMALL PORTIONS...SMALL PORTIONS...lol. Just loved your post kimk1999, haven't had wine in forever and since I have to go back to work don't think that's going to happen either day...have an awesome day!!! thanks for the
  15. samirax6...I believe you need to contact your hand specialist...how good will the WLS be if you can't use your hands...sweetie...call them please
  16. good Morning tashautah and terisis, just wanted you both to know that I will be keeping you both in my thoughts as the next few days go by. I am rather a newbie at this, but felt because of that I could let you know that all you are feeling right now is normal. Fear, excited, fear, excited...they were the same here...and somedays I still feel that way...wondering if those feelings will ever go away. this is a new life challenge, the difference this time is you will have WLS that will help you meet those challenges head on from now on. it gets difficult at times, so don't think everything will be cherry...but you will have the band and the support from a lot of folks like me to listen and let you know what we feel or what we dealt with...it will be okay I promise!!! you have made a great choice in making your life healthier...remember to be true to yourself and your band and listen to what your doctor tells you and you both will be successes in no time. I will be thinking of both of you and hope to see more posts from you soon. Best wishes...have a great day!!!
  17. JustWatchMe...when I read your posts I feel like I am reading a novel...so well put together and said!!! I am rethinking alot about what I say to folks...because I am not losing like others on here, but I do feel that some look at me with that oh so you've lost that much look and say WOW that means you weighed in at ??? so lately outside of a few folks that care about me nothing more is said. I do post on here when I make small achievements though...like this weekend was my first ride on my new trike. My biggest fan (my hubs) though said something before we left the house to go for our ride...that he didn't know why I was so excited, since after I take this ride that will be it...I'll just put the trike up and not want to get on it again. I did something that I have never done before and that was I told him..."you know what honey, you are suppose to be here to support me through this, actually you promised me you would be, and now you are talking all this negative?" "well guess what negative beget negative and I don't need to hear that!!!" we went for our ride and he didn't do so well, I did my mile and then had to go back to find him...I felt so badly for him, but couldn't help thinking in the back of my mind and you said I couldn't do it!!! but I helped him up and drove back and that made another 1/2 mile...so I felt really good. I know that is far from your topic, but actually it isn't. I don't do compliments well...after losing and gaining and losing and gaining all my life I merely stay clear of those that would say anything. because to me once they said it I would be going right back to my old behavior-because I didn't want to be noticed. I really don't care what folks think about me any longer...this surgery and my new band life has made me a different person. compliments are okay, but I say thank you and move on...tell only those I feel like telling when that occasion occurs. you are a very special person and I look forward to reading your posts...so you GO...I think you are doing perfectly both in your band life as well as your responses...I wouldn't have been able to think up anything near what you responded. so I can relate as many on here have already said...and thanks for making us all rethinking about how to respond to those around us-who will notice, have noticed and to even those who haven't said a word. your confidence just booms out from your post. hope you have an awesome day!!! take care!!!
  18. dlo I agree I think you might be a little tight...call your doctor it will make you feel so much better!!! and like everyone has said you are not a failure...failures would want the band out and live a life of misery. You are staying with it...so get some saline out and I bet you will be boasting about how well you feel in just a few days!!! Hang in there girlee!!! Hey LapbandKAB how are you feeling any better? been thinking about you!!! let us know-okay?
