  1. I am 6 weeks post-op and have kind of leveled out with the loss right now...I get my first fill tomorrow 2/27/14 and my doctor said nothing to drink or eat 2 hours prior, but like Cheryl said I would check with your own doctor. I know that this is well past the time you submitted it...but just added my two cents. Hope all went really well for you.
  2. You will know you had surgery...I had to have a hernia repaired as well so I was a bit more sore alittle longer...but you'll do just fine...just know you will be sore for awhile.
  3. I have my port in my upper left side of chest and I haven't had any problem with that location, I wear a bra and it doesn't bother it at all. I have had a little soreness if I sleep on that side for a long time though...but they told me it is still healing (6 weeks post op). Hope that helps. Consider an Ah Bra they work great!!!
  4. Welcome onboard. I was very nervous too a few days before my surgery, but the morning of mine I was just fine. I am only 6 weeks out but am glad I made the decision to have the lap band...and only looking forward to good things in the near future. Best wishes to you!!!
  5. My best wishes to you. Walking did help with the gas with me also...as for feeling hungry I didn't have that problem, actually most of the time felt like I didn't even want to drink...but do so okay!!! You'll do fine!!! Here's to a new beginning!!!
  6. Hi I had my lap band surgery on 1/16/2014 and am now 6 weeks out and getting my first fill tomorrow. Have had a couple incidents, but the most part am doing really well. I am thankful to all of you that have posted many topics that concerned me or that I am about to face, they have been great. I am alittle concerned about my first fill...have read a few messages on here about your experiences. I have my port in my chest area...so haven't been able to find anyone that has their's there...so will post how that goes tomorrow. Thanks again for all your input its been really helpful.
