  1. Justwatchme I am so glad you got home safely and that you enjoyed your trip...only 4 lbs is great and yes I agree you will have those 4 lbs off in no time...I am so looking forward to my next fill, still not feeling anything!!! UGH!!!
  2. My problem is nothing stops me from eating but myself. I used to eat, just to eat, but now I have to really put the reins on my eating and portions, because I have no restriction what so ever not even with 4 cc in my band. It is all up to me...not doing well...but am trying really hard. I just hope that someday there will be some sort of restriction. I have finally gotten the slow down eating part taken care of with my little phone app...but so need some restriction soon.
  3. Enjoy yourself HealthyNewMe!!!
  4. makes perfect sense to me, just wish you didn't have to have a terrible supper to realize it. I hope you are still enjoying your trip. take care.
  5. they think its from a medication I am taking!!!
  6. I always check the responders surgery type...then join in...not sure if there is any thing that can be done...but I understand. but I am familiar with persons that I know are banders so I follow their posts. that's the way I find my answers I need. hope that helps you a bit. I am always on the look out for new banders too to try to make them aware of those of us that are banders and lead them in our directions.
  7. well just in from the pool...I made it 32 laps today which I recently learned is a mile...thought it was 16 but I was mistaken...so I am now doing a mile a day and have upped my exercises a few more reps this week. so it felt great and now to get ready for work. so have a great day everyone!!! you are all my hero's!!!
  8. YOU GO naenaern777...YOU'RE AWESOME
  9. kll724 hope you are feeling better!!! I didn't get around to much exercise per say...but worked in my yard all weekend long in the hot sun and housework...so I think I did bring out alot of a sweat each day....hope that accounts for something...LOLRH
  10. I so know that being banded does make you aware of how those around you eat. It also makes me well aware of how I eat now. I eat with the same two people at work each day...one eats really slow-but eats way big bites and the other one eats faster and big bites. I bring out my phone with my slow eating app and they giggle at me, but it works...I know if I don't remember to use it though I do still eat too fast...so I try to make it a habit to have it with me all the time. So here's to eating slowly and eating smaller portions and being healthy. Way to go there Banders...you all are doing GREAT!!! Thanks for being on here to give me inspiration!!!
  11. sounds great how many calories?
  12. Hey CcPc not sure which type of surgery you had...but just wanted to say Congrats on WLS and welcome to your new journey. I didn't have any issues like you have, but wanted to wish you well with that foley. years ago I had some surgery that caused major damage to my bladder...wore a foley for almost a year...so I know how uncomfortable they are...best wishes...hang in there and get better soon!!!
  13. WendyDarling19 I am sooooooooooo worried about that since I am way past the skin spring back age...but to old to also think about reduction surgery too...so I will just grin and bare it and be thankful that the pounds are off...but am trying my best to exercise to maybe help alittle bit. Have a great day!!!
  14. *hugs* right back at cha BlueMoonT
  15. I very seldom...get anything to drink when I go out...but have a treat for myself now I get a unsweet tea in a to-go cup that I ask for right before I leave, that is usually 30 minutes later...so it is a way I make sure I don't drink anything, but I have never drank with my meals and always stop 30 minutes before and wait 30 minutes if not more after. Just routine stuff actually to me anyways. Hope you all have an awesome Holiday Weekend...be safe and careful out there and don't forget to remember those who gave their ALL and those that have and are still serving this Great Nation!!!
  16. Everyone is doing AWESOME...I was at the pool again this morning and did more walking and a few more exercises in the pool. Each morning I just wish I could stay there...it feels so good and refreshing and walk and exercise without any pain...very nice!!! Wish you ALL a wonderful weekend and please remember those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for this Country on Monday and all those that have and are serving this Nation to keep us safe!!!
  17. that is wonderful...I'm at 4 cc and still not restriction yet...UGH...CONGRATS!!!
  18. karina33 I stick to the 30 minute before and after...but like tmf says sometimes a sip does help drier foods slide down a bit better. try not to drink alot with your meals though if at all possible...okay!!!
  19. Samirax6 Congrats and Welcome to Bandland...as for the appetite...I know that I was weeks after my surgery that I didn't have one...however, not to scare you becuz everyone is diff...but later on my appetite came back and then I needed to remember that the band was merely a instrument to assist me with weight lose...so you need to remember to limit what you eat and be careful of what you eat too. we are gonna be here to help you through everything issue you have and I personally hope each of them are small ones... Congrats again dearheart...now you are one of us and we will be here for you!!! Have a great day!!!
  20. nettyinlacey congrats on your lap band surgery date...looking forward to more posts from you soon...will look forward to chatting with you okay!!! Let us know if you need anything!!!
  21. doctor hasn't returned call yet...however, the sea salt water is very inexpensive to run and it has its own natural chlorine in it...healthier too. but the pool is in an enclosure with a roof that opens up which is really neat...just wish they had more of them in our area...I go really early in the morning and there are alot of folks that go there too before work or just older folks that are up at 5:30 in the morning. I thank you two for your concern and I'll post once I hear from the doctor hopefully it will be today.
  22. thanks enjoythetime and Lisa...I will call the doctor today about it...you can't see it really with my glasses on but really in your face when I take them off and I need to do that when I am reading or on the computer. so the only thing I know I am doing differently is water walking in a salt water pool...so I really don't get my face wet LOL...but maybe he will know. as for water/fluid comsumption...I drink about 128 oz a day. my dietitian says to drink half my weight...its rough some days. Ladies thanks again so much...and just on a high note, I am down unofficially (my scales) down 44 lbs YEAH!!! sorry just a really bit happy!!! LOL
  23. I get so excited when I am in the pool to exercise...in 45 minutes I did all of my leg/ab exercises and actually found out only 1/2 mile is done when I do 16 back and forths, so this week I have upped my ante...walked my first 1/2 miles and then my exercises and then I walk 1/2 mile again...did them all in 45 minutes...this is really great for me anyways. LOL!!! Going to start going on Saturday mornings too starting this week...Yeah Me!!! Sorry a bit on happy street this morning...finally I am down too although its unofficial 44 lbs!!! Hope you all have a great day.!!!!!
  24. Congrats on your decision to get the lapband Mike, glad to see you wish to be around for your grandson...that is a good reason to come into the band land world. I will have you in my thoughts and hope to see you on here before and after your surgeries. Welcome to Bandland almost! Let us know if you have any questions.
