  1. very sound advice
  2. Wishing, wishing, wishing!!! I could eat steak...but not even tenderloin likes me...so it is a lost food choice!!! We had a Luau at our hospital cafeteria today, tried the bbq chicken...nope...it was moist...but I can't take my time at work to eat correctly-time limit...so a waste of money. So will try something else tonight...what I managed will have to do!!! But so glad that others can do so well out!!! Someday I will be able to do the same!!!
  3. I know some think that where my port is in a strange place...but its easy to find...my upper left chest area!!! I sure hope yours is OK Redstorm!!! thinking about ya that all will be okay.
  4. Averiex I agree with TMF in this case for sure...the band is of course an instrument to assist us with WL, however, if its just there with nothing in it-it is merely a decoration. I know that my first fill wasn't until my 7th week Post-Op, but I have been getting fills every 4 to 6 weeks...if he can't do what he needs to do I would find another provider and let him know why I changed!!! This life change is hard enough without a provider willing to work with you on it. I am sorry you are having to deal with such a person...you might want to post his name on here as well...so others don't use him either!!!
  5. JessS I agree with TMF, I'd call the doctor and see what he has to say-before you move forward with a fill!!! He might wish to look at things inside first!!! Best wishes dearheart!
  6. Grandma Serenity I got me a Trike and just love it!
  7. I love it...CONGRATS Kayzoog!!! Have fun
  8. I so agree with everyone on here ivyh CALL YOUR DOCTOR immediately!
  9. lcoolpix you have received a wide variety of advice from some really great advisors on here. I agree with the fact you are aware of your issues and trying hard to get back on track. Some folks are very knowledgeable on here so my advice is to listen and keep notes...LOLRH!!! I have only been banded for 5 mths and still find it hard sometimes to stay positive...but I have learned that remembering portion sizes, eat slowly and chew chew chew have helped me so much. I was just in a slump last week...it's amazing how just talking with someone about our issues can help us and get us realizing that we can be our worse enemies. Think positive...be mindful of your food choices and maybe even putting an app on your cellphone (if you have one) called Eat Slower on it...it helps me remember to put my fork down and eat slowly between bites and helps me to realize that I am not as hungry as I thought I was...the Quest Bars are awesome as well!!! You have a great place to turn to when you have issues right here...but always remember too to check in with your provider on major issues too okay? You will be in my thoughts...hang in there girl...you are doing great!

  18. well I always check labels...and if and when I have any sugar I try to stay the way I did pre-op on the Sugar Buster diet...less than 7 grams a day of sugar...sometimes I find that to be hard to do, but I do stay as close to that as possible.
  19. not even close-to not feeling hungry...so I eat whenever I can...hoping this time 4 cc will help me a little bit more.

  22. my face and chest area too...LOLRH...but I have plenty to lose there too... !!!
  23. not sure where you are at...but my nutritionist wants me to eat 1200 calories a day, but I suppose that varies with providers...but to make changes here is what you do: 1. go to goals 2. change goals 3. change to custom 4. you can change anything you want to there Hope that is what you are looking for...best wishes to ya darlin'!
  24. thanks TMF and Bandista you both are very near and dear to me...your words mean alot!!!
