  1. Hey my bloodwork all came back normal no PCOS and no hormonal issues I'm like ready to give up I workout 6 days a week do a job where I'm running lifting all sorts of things I lost only 8 lbs in 3 months I don't get it. All food I eat is good it really frustrates me

    Too few calories?

I workout everyday due to the fact I had surgery on my back and I have to sometimes twice a day. Now I tried 1000 calories I was starving and then I tried 1300 and I'm having issues losing. I eat healthy amounts of nothing lots of chicken and low sugar low carb high protein bars. I wish I had a clue everything is against me

    Post surgery and depression

Hey ranchbrat you do look great. I am suffering from body morphing disorder as well. I workout 2 times a day and eat around 1200 calories HEALTHY calories and enough protein. I can't lose weight at all I'm stuck at 170 to 176 keeps going up and down. I can't tell you how many days I've cried I am frustrated I always get bloodwork and it's always good. I am waiting on hormonal blood work. Sucks when you do everything right and still feel disgusted or you are stuck. Good luck though and you look great!
  4. Hmm 8 or 9 cups of water/ lean shake gnc/fruit/chicken/roastbeef/low fat greek yogurt/ egg white/ tomatoes lettuce and whole grain weight watchers bread and hot tea at night anything wrong here I mix and match no more than 1200 calories a day I do physical therapy and workout as much as my body will let me 3-4 times a week. I am strict and an aggravated individual at this point 3 weeks and no results and blood works always great.
  5. Hi everybody ok so I have another question pretty simple. The past five days I did liquid diet back to basics on the fifth fay I did morning a protein shake gnc ' s lean shake then for lunch up it to a shake and banana and dinner I had eggs with slice of cheese and a piece of toast pretty simple right. So I'm not sure if this whole "test" has tightened my pouch or not. I have been excersizing best I can 2 months out of back surgery I mean I sweat and only lost 1 lb. What's going on here? Any ideas here. Thanks.
  6. Had my gallbladder out 2 hernias in that area out no constipation here 2 bad ulcers I take medication called protonics 40 mg daily morning and night blood work always is normal liver fine upper endoscopy always good and CT scan came back fine as always I still have pain. In upper right side upper abdomen stomach area the doctor has no clue they say sometimes things like this just happen and we don't know why well that's just not a good enough answer I mean who says this and he is my 2nd opinion doctor. I am as frustrated as you are so sorry you are dealing with this as well.

    feeling hopeless

Hey Michelle I just had surgery on my L3 L4 a month ago I understand I had my gallbladder removed a year and a half ago and 2 weeks prior to back surgery they had to do emergency surgery on 2 hernias in my upper abdomen by my stomach I have 2 serious ulcers the doctor says they can't do anything about but medication and I was just told I need surgery on my right foot from an injury a year ago a so called sprain I got a 3rd opinion on and it's not good. Anywho I feel your frustration I was into working out hard doing it all right I am doing the 5 day pouch test but longer than 5 days I'll probably go 10 I'm on 3 now lost 2.5lbs it's a start I guess. My excersize consists of physical therapy for now. I do log my food in my fitness pal I eat no more than 1100 calories a day and all the vitamins and water. But it's hard I want to give up so bad i try everything I feel like the odds are against me. We can't though keep moving. This can't be for nothing. There is a reason for everything and life is a test. It's time to pass and I know I have ADD so it will take time but I will do it in due time. Good luck my dear and we are all hear for support on this long and tedious journey.

    Weight question

Hey Dee all I can say is when I look back at pictures around that time I started to get real bad acne around my neck area got my thyroid check they found a lump said I had what'd it called when cancer is in hiding I forget and they don't do anything unless it's an issue but Yea I'm on medication for hypothyroidism it's not even that bad and neither is the nodule they found they gave me a shot of testosterone and took estrogen pills they said I had like none in my body after that I slowly gradually gained but stayed where I'm at for months now. I mean I had a hairline fracture had to stop working out but watched the food intake then because I could do anything makes no sense to me. I do blood work all the time it's always fine minus vitamin D which I take Extra for

    Struggling...is it too late?

Hey piano gal i got to 158 and now stuck at 176 for months it's crazy i did the 5 day test lost like 2 lbs. I feel discouraged because i excersize 5 days a week and wouldn't go over 1250 calories a day. Take all the proper vitamins i also have bipolar and take medication and that actually helps aid in weight loss what i take and it's not. I take melatonin i sleep 4 to 5 hours and once in a blue moon i get 6 I'm happy those nights. I just had back surgery last month luckily haven't gained i know it is gonna be rough yet again. I have PCOS and hypothyroidism due to the gastric bypass 2 severe ulcers 3 hernias removed gallbladder out i did it all right but obstacles keep getting thrown at me it sucks i know. Somewhere in my depressed mind i know there has to be some hope because what else do we have left. We did all this and for what? We all knew it wasn't gonna be easy and some people are damn lucky to have the weight just shoot on off but those like me and you we have to fight damn hard and I know I cry some days and tell myself it's not fair but then I say snap out of it. Anyway enough of my preaching lol if you need to talk I am hear for you I know how it is. And by the way my doctor said to me it's normal to gain 15 lbs or so after to stop losing and start eating normal foods again.
  14. I am roughly 2 years out at 18 months I started gaining. At the time I was doing p90x which is a pretty strict workout. Eating roughly 1300 healthy calories a day. My job is a fedex driver 12-14 hrs a day very active life 5 days a week. At like 14 months was told I had PCOS and hypothyroidism had to get blood work from an endocrinologist only thing wrong was vitamin D was low and thyroid hormone was not that crazy. I am on medication from both I made sure they didn't cause weight gain. NOW my endocrinologist put me on strict hypoglycemic diet and gave me a pill called Qsymia it's a doctor approved weight loss pill well 4 months in haven't lost one lb. I am at a loss off what to do and now I had back surgery on my herniated L3 and L4 last month so this is my new obstacle any suggestions?
