Any February 2014 Sleevers?
- Any February 2014 Sleevers?
I'm stuck too. Between 167- 170. 170 was my original goal. I think I would like to get to 160, just to have some wiggle room. 9 month appointment Thursday. We will see, but my dr told me at my 6 month I was already a success. I'm happy with my results. I am healthy & that was my main goal!!- What do you see when you look in the mirror?
I know I'm smaller but I don't think I'm thin. I think I'm just a more normal size. Other people comment or call me skinny Minnie & I think it's sweet but not true.- How to deal with going to events
I definitely get more excited about dressing up & going out now. But please try to remember this is your life now. Live it!! You don't want to look back & regret not being an active participant in your own life!! I use to say, I'll do this or I will do that later. You wake up & realize half your life is gone. Enjoy your life & your husband & your friends everyday!- 2 weeks out, only 10 pounds down
Don't get stressed! Your body is just trying to figure this out. It will happen periodically. You will lose weight! Don't get discouraged & don't cheat!!- NSV shout outs
My sweet friend brought me a pair of jeans today. I could tell by looking they would never fit. She wasn't sure what size they were. So after she left I looked & they are a size 4! I just started laughing. How sweet is she to even think I could wear them?!? I am in some 8s but usually 10s. I went ahead & tried them on. And guess what? I could zip them. I probably can't sit down! But they zipped!!! Made my day. I don't remember ever having pants smaller than an 8!- NSV shout outs

Do you think you are in ketosis?- NSV shout outs
The ladies at the local consignment store have gotten really familiar with me! Last week the clerk said " are you about finished losing weight? You don't need to lose anymore!" & my sister saw a pic of me last week & said she had to look twice. She didn't realize it was me at first!????- Any February 2014 Sleevers?
My hair has basically stopped falling out. It really seemed back to normal at about 7 months post op. It hasn't started thickening back up yet though.- 3+ years post-op, at lowest weight since 4th grade :-)
How tall are you? I have reached my goal of 170 also & am 5'7". I think I might want to lose 10-15 more but just so I can have some wiggle room. I can wear an 8-10 & really don't want to look too thin. I'm 42 & don't want to look old either! Thanks- Should I be worried?
I thought so too, but you would be surprised what we tell ourselves a serving is! Best of luck!!- Should I be worried?
I agree! Measure your food. I weighed everything for months. Protein first!!- I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
How tall are you? Great job!- Any February 2014 sleevers?
Do you have pics? I'm 5'7" & now at 170. I'm happy with how I look but wonder what I might look like if I lost another 15-20 lbs. thanks!!- Shampoo!
I changed to Wen conditioning cleanser. It did not stop my hair loss. It did allow me to shampoo less often. It helped cause I lost more hair the days I shampooed. I can shampoo once or twice per week.- Anyone else have trouble with fake sugars?
I'm not sure we are all the same, but I couldn't tolerate them well before surgery. Now it's not a problem. Immediately after surgery they were actually too sweet! Your tastes may change. If they make you feel ill though that may or may not be the case. Good luck!- Failing already!
You have definitely not failed! Start today doing what you know you are suppose to do. & get some help for the emotional part. I have decided it's probably 90% mental. You have to get your head in the right place. Best of luck to you.- How Long will this go on?!?
Mine started about 3 months & pretty much stopped at 7 months. It can be distressing but it will stop. I was lucky I had a lot of really thick hair to begin with. Good luck!! I also don't think it matters how much protein you consume or how many vitamins. I was getting all of mine in & it still fell out in handfuls????- February Sleevers.... Check in!
Darianna, sounds like you are still doing great! What are they doing for your anemia? I hope you feel better soon!! I hit my original personal goal of 170 this week. Down 106lbs. Part of me wants to lose another 10-15lbs. But I think it's just vanity at this point. I'm never going to be a tiny person. I wear an 11 or a 12 in a shoe!! I am wearing an 8 or 10 in clothes depending on brand. Usually a M in a top. I can wear a S in tshirts like the kids get at school. Who would have ever thought?!? But I feel fantastic. Off all prescription medication. My hair has finally stopped falling out! I still have a hard time getting my calcium in. Luckily my labs were great at the 6 month follow up. The chewables gag me & I have to take 5 or 6 petites per day. It's hard cause they make me feel sick if I take too many at 1 time. So I put them in my pocket every am & try to space them out throughout the day. I need to get serious about toning up. I definitely have skin issues but not as bad as I had feared. Went on a business trip with my husband last week. First flight since surgery & I was tickled about all the excess seat belt. I was worried about what we had to eat. I'm usually extremely strict about my choices & I STILL weigh everyday (I know it's madness but it is what I do!) Well I had a couple of drinks & a couple of bites of dessert, but otherwise I tried to make good choices. When we got home, I had actually lost a couple of pounds. Granted my husband walked me over half of Chicago!! It felt very freeing to know I could have a small treat occasionally & not completely destroy my progress! I hit "stalls" regularly. I don't know if it's cause I'm close to a weight that is good for my frame or not. I try not to sweat it. My surgeon never gave me a goal. Part of me would like to get to a normal BMI & part of me doesn't care. I feel healthy & happy & strong! Best of luck to all my fellow February sleevers!- Hate the new format!
