  2. I too love coffee! They say caffeine also delays healing. My surgeon allows decaf after surgery. Honestly though, it didn't taste right. Not because it was decaf, just in general. Took over a month before I could enjoy a cup. It does get better & is so worth it!!
  3. Praying for you! Way to go on NSV!!
  4. My dr advises no rice, bread, pasta, or potatoes for 1 year.
  5. I think she's saying her sister-in-law's insurance doesn't cover WLS. Great job Elfnow!!
  6. I truly believe you need to be honest with your husband. You are going to need his support. This is a MAJOR life decision. Best of luck.
  7. I did the same! 2 week stall began 1 week +1 day post op. I was still losing inches. Try to not be discouraged! I think your body is just trying to adjust.
  8. I weigh food before & after & then log in. Good luck!
  9. I had a 2 week stall starting 1 day after my 1 week post op appointment. Although it was EXTREMELY frustrating, I do believe our bodies are in shock for losing weight so fast. I lost 22 pounds in the 2 week pre op + 10 the week after surgery. My surgery date was Feb 19 & I am down a total of 43 pounds. Do your measurements. Even though I wasn't losing on the scale, I was definitely losing inches. I also get my protein in but struggle with water. Best of luck to everyone! Just work your plan. I can't wait to see what we have to say in June!!
  10. I will be 1 month postop tomorrow. I have been off diabetes meds since the day before surgery. I was on 4 blood pressure meds. I now only take 1/2 dose of 2 medications. My doctor said I should be able to drop one of those very soon. So impressed with progress!!
  11. Sorry about double post. How do I remove that?
  12. Hey guys! I will be 1 month postop tomorrow. Down 39lbs since starting preop. I did have a 2 week stall which almost drove me crazy!! Feeling great. Glad everyone is doing well.
  13. I will be 1 month post op tomorrow. Feeling great. Down 39 lbs since starting preop. Did have a 2 week stall which about drove me crazy!! Glad everyone is doing well.
  14. I wondered about the gall bladder thing. I had mine removed in '08 and have had horrible dumping syndrome since. I was told it could clear up, but it looks like it could stay the same as well. Not to pry, but do you take Metformin?
  15. My surgery is Wednesday too! I agree that the pre-op diet is mainly to shrink your liver, not to lose a certain amount of weight. Best of luck!
