  1. Yes, I'm 1/29 too! I would love to connect and share motivation! Are you on My fitness pal? I use it religiously! SW: 280 CW:238 I've been exercising since my first week. I'm drinking 64 oz+ water each day and continue to make protein a priority!
  2. I set general "reminders" on my iphone: get up and move (I have a desk job), take a vitamin (to space them out), and drink.
  3. I am not celiac but do try to have a gluten free diet. I no longer have the powders so can't give you specifics, but the powders I used were gluten free. Also, talk to your NUT-I'm sure they will be able to help too! ???? good luck!!!
  4. Great job! I'm anxious to hear about your progress!!! I've always heard it works-so hang in there!! ????
  5. I started today. I'm so proud of myself. I thought I would have more trouble but completed day 1 completely.
  6. You should FEEL fine by the time for your cruise. With all the food options, you should also not having a problem making good food choices! Have a ball (I'm so jealous)! ????
  7. You'll find that each doctor seems to have different advice regarding coffee, among other things. I was given clearance to drink decaf coffee right away and regular coffee at 5 weeks.
  8. I hope this doesn't discourage people. I had no pain at the incision sites after 1 week, I was walking daily after 1 day post op. I was back to work 5 days post op-while my energy wasn't at the level it was before surgery, I was ok working full-time. My surgeon told me to expect a 10 day recovery period and he was just about exactly right. 10 days after, I felt just fine and began exercising on a stationary bike, took extra stairs, and continued walking. I know people recover differently and I know people like to read and share experiences, so I understand your post. I just hope people considering surgery don't think that they are necessarily going to be down for a month! . Just my two cents....
  9. I have an in appropriate boss-which is why I didn't tell him! . I'm sorry you have to deal with this-I know how stressful it can be....and you don't need any added stress! Good luck!
  10. Lots of gurgling the first week...or two....or three....
  11. Thanks so much! Maybe a bug. I've been taking it easy today on the foods - back to some more basics and have been OK. Hopefully it was just a fluke for you too!!!
  12. I would def say it's muscle!
  13. I'm 5 weeks post op and have suddenly started experiencing severe nausea. I've thrown up three times in the last two days. I haven't really changed my diet at all over the last week. And throughout this whole process, the only time I experience nausea was the day of surgery. Any insight or advice? Thanks!
  14. My nut days coffee is fine after 4 weeks and that it does count towards your daily liquids. She said to just be careful what you put in your coffee. Funny how the responses vary so much!
  15. I just wanted to chime in and let you all know that what you're feeling is completely normal! Just give it a few more days and you're pain will be gone. Don't get on the scale, you just got pumped full of gas and fluids-it will not be an accurate number! Concentrate on protein and water. Go slow, it will come!!! . Hang in there-just three and a half weeks ago, I sounded just like you!!! Now I'm back to a completely normal routine and even exercising.
  16. The anesthesia is probably having an affect on you still, as well! Hang in there, this will all pass soon. Your journey has begun, celebrate!!!
  17. Just be careful with these-they are sliders for many (including me). My NUT recommends staying away from them until maintenance.
  18. My NUT recommends any fruit that ends in "berry". I hope that helps.
  19. I would say more weird than uncomfortable! Not bad at all-very quick too. Don't stress.
  20. Great questions. Thanks so much for everyone's responses! Very insightful information!!
  21. I lost 25lbs in the first two weeks and then comes the stall..... . I have my 4 week post op tomorrow and have only lost 5 more lbs since my 2 week. You'll be fine!!
