gaining weight at crossfit

So on January 8th 2013 I weighed 295 lbs. I lost 40 lbs by working out and eating healthy (elliptical, weights and walking). On August 2nd I had sleeve surgery at 245 lbs. On January 8th 2014 I weighed 184 lbs. I joined crossfit that day and since I have put on 6 lbs. Is that right. I work out 6 to 8 times a week.

People say it's muscle mass, I hope so.

Did you do pre-workout measurements? See if they'll do another round of measurements!!
