  1. Hi all! I was banded March 27th. (best choice Ive ever made) my question to anyone out there that can help. I havent had a period in 2yrs (Im almost 47) yesterday I started spotting? Does that mean my periods are returning? oh, maaan. thanks for any feedback.
  2. Hi all! I know that I have alot of the same health problems and emotional ups and downs because of my weight. For a very long time I have let it control me. In May, my doctor suggested the lapband (I have not been scheduled yet, hopefully soon) I look at it , that I am taking control , to do the best for me. A happier, healthy me. I no longer want to live in the shadows, I want to be center stage. I think you have to learn to love yourself before others can love you. Be happy that you have chosen to take charge to change your life for the better. Hugs all around!
  3. Glad to hear all the positive feedback. Good to know everyone is doing well on their journeys. Ive done all my appts (as far as I know) I guess Im just waiting to hear from Joyce. I'm not sure if I should contact her again or my GP, Im just waiting to hear. (so past ready for this to happen already. I want to be one of you! I am in Sussex county, little place called Yale ( between Jarratt and Stony Creek)
  4. Mary I have really had you on my mind recently. Hows the pre-op diet going? The 27th will be here before ya know it. Good Luck!
  5. Hi guys! I just recently found out about the 6month documentation that my ins. requires. (I have Cigna) I started in June with the seminar and was told if everything stayed on track, I should have an Oct. date for being banded. I have been seeing my GP monthly, and hes been documenting my weight, loss, or gain. Always stating diet and excercise needed. Im just hoping that will be enough for me to be aproved. I really hate the idea of starting all over. 6 months will seem sooooooooooo long. I know alot of ins. co. are trying to make it more difficult, so they dont have to pay for it. I will hang in there, and hope for the best.
  6. Hi everyone! I too am seeing Dr. Schroder at St. Marys. Started the process in June with the seminar. Joyce says I should have a band date in October if everything stays on track . Nice to see sooo many Virginians.
