Just wanted to say hi to those wuth august surgery dates. Last week I got my surgery date. The hospital im going thru makes me waut 6 months after the first dr appt.

Woo hoo! Another aug 26th person!! Now there's 3... Me and two others.. I'm reading the 9 pages of messages from this topic, I didn't realize it was on here til today

Hi everyone my surgery date is august 26th.. Less than 4 months to go!

33 more days!!! I have a pre op appointment with my pcp, an appointment with a nurse practitioner at the surgeon's office, pre-op testing at the hospital, my EGD on aug 6th and last but not least my 2 week pre op diet starts aug 11th! I've received my letter from the bariatric center that I was approved and my surgeons office called with my approval today. I started this journey on January 6th this year at the information meeting at 375 pounds... Here I sit excited so much I could burst! I've had 6 visits with the nurse practitioner at the bariatric office, a psych appt, 3 group meetings, 2 meetings with the dietician and on the 26th of this month I've been smoke free for 4 months. I'm also down 85 pounds pre-op. I count my blessings every day for this opportunity..

I live in Easton.. Getting my surgery done at Lehigh valley hospital... What about you?

Yea...embarrassing trying to get out of them practically having to hover over the stall just to get to door open enough to get out!

I won't miss having to turn sideways and think skinny just to get in and out of a bathroom stall. Omg who are they building these stalls for??

Right now I'm sticking with a 2100 calorie limit (I don't get anywhere near that) and exercising 2-4 times a week. I cut back on candy too.. Every once in awhile I get sugar free hard candy because I also quit smoking march 26th. There's a list of a couple fattening fried foods I want to try before surgery and I want to hit up one more buffet... Any who... I have a 2 week pre op diet it'll start aug 11th.. I took a pic of it from my book.

I won't miss going to bed wearing granny panties and waking up in a thong!

I won't miss thinking there's something wrong with my power steering then realizing it's my belly wanting to control the steering wheel.
I really want to be able to cross my legs at my thighs and not just my ankles..
I want my fear of busting a chair every time I sit in one to go away...
Someone mentioned sitting anywhere at a restaurant.. I agree with that one! I still remember having to sit at the end if a booth table in a regular chair.. In the aisle feeling completely fat like I was sitting at my own feast.
I won't miss the constant feeling like everyone is staring at me or talking about me behind my back.
I could go on but these are the things I dwell over now..

I keep thinking of a new one everyday. This is today's... I most definitely will not miss my underwear rolling down underneath the crease of my stomach. Is it only me who has this problem?
