  1. Hi there. My name is Lynn. I am 42 and live in Brownsville, Oregon. I had my lapband placed in August of 07. I have lost 60lbs and have definitely had my ups and downs, but I love my band and don't regret it for a moment. I would love to answer any questions you may have and help in any way that I can.
  2. Thanks for the great idea! If I'm going to get something stuck, this is how I do it. I can take small bites, chew well, but if I don't wait long enough between bites, my food will accumulate and get stuck. Hope this works well for you. Good luck to us all!!
  3. Hello fellow nurses! Just saw this thread and thought it was a great idea. This forum is a great place for inspiration and motivation. Am looking forward to getting to know you all better. (I am a Critical Care RN). Good luck to us all!!
  4. I'm a healthcare professional and was very skeptical. Needless to say, I did ALOT of research before making my decision. I ended up going to Dr. Ortiz in Mexico and it was a wonderful experience. I read his book LAPBAND FOR LIFE before the surgery and found it extremely informative and helpful. He is an excellent surgeon with impeccable credentials. Good luck with whomever you choose!
  5. Sorry to hear about your migraine. I too suffer from migraines. They are terrible. I am also a Critical Care Nurse. It is very possible that a nerve was hit. Hopefully it will resolve in a week or so. Good luck to you.
  6. Hello fellow bandsters. I was banded July 3oth by Dr. Ortiz. Was a great experience and am doing well. I'm down 18lbs since I started. Are there any Oregon bandsters out there? I would love to get together. Also, where is the closest place for fills that use fluro? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to everyone!:clap2:
