HI last monday the 15th I went in for a migraine and was given a shot of demerol and phenergin (sp). the site where the injection was given is still very sore, is this normal? it hurts for anything to brush up against it.

Phenergan can be very irritating to the tissue. If it looks infected ie.. red, swollen ,red streaks goin gaway from the sore spot, hot to touch, I'd get it checked by your doc.

Sorry to hear about your migraine. I too suffer from migraines. They are terrible. I am also a Critical Care Nurse. It is very possible that a nerve was hit. Hopefully it will resolve in a week or so. Good luck to you.
