  1. Today is my six month anniversary -- Starting Weight: 231 Size: 18/20 Current Weight: 156 Size: 8 I haven't been on BP or diabetic meds since the day of my surgery!
  2. Have any of you had issues with things "going black" when you rise from a seated position? It only lasts a few seconds and I never lose consciousness. In my third month of hair loss and ready for that to be over!!! Today is my six month anniversary -- Starting Weight: 231 Size: 18/20 Current Weight: 156 Size: 8
  3. I'm 9 weeks out from surgery. Since I started my pre-surgery diet 11 weeks ago, I've lost 50 pounds...but now I have stalled (again) for the last week. My hair is slowly falling out...even with Biotin. Overall, I'm happy. This is the best decision I have ever made for my health...just frustrated with the stall!!!!!

    Frustrated

I haven't been measuring. I should. Everyone else notices how much I've changed but I don't...
  5. I'm just over three weeks out from surgery and I haven't lost a pound in more than a week. I'm following my liquid diet, still, and I'm working out twenty minutes a day on the treadmill. My calorie intake averages around 600/day. What am I doing wrong? I'm so frustrated...

@ a weight loss stalll Help!

I'm right there with you -- third week and I'm seeing no movement.
  7. Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying not to be discouraged.
  8. I'm exactly two weeks post-op. When I hit the treadmill, I can only take about 15 minutes at 2.5mph. I exit the treadmill feeling very "light headed." My calorie intake is averaging 500-600/day. My surgeon said I'm losing above average based on my starting weight (28lbs in a month). But I'm concerned about exercise... How much were you / are you able to exercise per day?
  9. Today is my one-week surgery anniversary. Praise The Lord, I had zero complications and never took a pain med after I left the hospital. I've been all over the place since three days post-op --- grocery shopping, salon, manicure --- and feel amazing! This is the BEST thing I've ever done for me or my family.

    Question

Atkins also has prepared meals in the frozen section. The carbs are low but watch the sodium.

    Pre op diet

Be happy -- I was on liquids for two weeks preop. Blah!
  12. I had my sleeve yesterday -- no complications! My only complaint is dry mouth...waiting for my swallow test in order to get some ice chips. So excited!
  13. I'm having my sleeve tomorrow. You all have been so inspirational with your before & afters. I can't wait to join you on the healthy side!
  14. Writing myself ready for my sleeve on Tuesday -- anything you'd recommend I have at home for after surgery?
  15. It's hard to believe that I'll be sleeved in just one week. I'm so ready for this healthy change! I'm 5'8" and down to 212.5 preop. A big concern for me at age 37, how do you deal with the excess skin? Any of you have suggestions? Is it an issue postoperative?
