  1. I'm truthfully amazed, thankful to my surgeon and humbled by this experience. Back in April of 2013 I started at 412lbs. Had surgery June 24th. Now here we r almost 200 lbs lighter in 9 months. 52 inch waist to 33. 4xl t shirt to large. Just amazing. I used to love riding motorcycles so I went out and bought a new one for when the weather gets better. I go to the gym 6 days per week and I just always remember my surgeons words. "I've given u the tool. Now take advantage of it!!" I won't forget that advise from Dr Jiser in Chelmsford MA. Thank u
  2. Oh yeah.. I take in about 1000 calories per day and that includes my 1 Iced coffee,, I burn off about 500-600 a the gym at least 6 days per week,.,. Its a routine and i am still never ever hungary,, Its something to do with the part of the stomach they remove from you does control the brain.. At least i was told that by several of the medical professionals at my bariatric center Chris
  3. Its so awesome not to be the biggest person in the room.. Or be afraid to go on airplane, theater or shows. Your head still thinks your big but your now NORMAL>. its awesome.. Keep going. Chris
  4. If you do it the correct way you will be down to 150 in 12-18 months. Thats my guess.. My surgeon guessed 250 for me and i have blown that away.. Im strict and i dont falter. Chris
  5. iVE LOST ALMOST 200LBS IN 9 MONTHS. SO YES IS THE ANSWER. CHRIS
  6. Honest opinion is this. At your weight you could do it on your own. But you will more than likely put it back on plus some. My whole life has been up and down .. Now ive lost almost 200lbs in 9 months and i am so normal and will never put it back on.. You cant unless you "screw it up"... so u can but not me. I wish you all the luck Chris
  7. Doves CRY... You are probably going to be MUCH MUCH MUCH less that 180lbs. Just an FYI.. i think that is what GMANBAT is trying to say.. You may be very surpirsed in a good way!!. Congrats and go for it! Chris
  8. If you undereat your body will fight the losing weight and want to store food easier. You really have to get that Protein in to satisfy your bodies need.,, Chris
  9. Puree was the worst for me. Yuck id rather stay on the shakes but your new pouch needs the puree to start acting like a stomach. The only advice i can truly say is my dr said to me " Ive given you the tool.. Dont abuse it cause you can go back the other way " Chris
  10. shouldnt be but everyone is different as you will hear a million times over in here.. Wish you all the luck Chris
  11. HMMM, First i would report the no weight loss to your surgeon.... Doesnt sound right to me. 2nd to relieve the gas i would do a lot of walking.. Maybe 4 times per day 15-20 minutes each time.. re pain in the collarbone?? very odd. doesnt sound like anything to do with the surgery.. I would contact your DR. In the first 4 weeks i had lost like 30-40lbs if i remember correctly. What r u eating.. YOur only 4 weeks out so you must be on puree food?? trying to help u..... Chris
  12. Check out my before and after..... 420 to 222 now.
  13. My Dr says that is quite normal and was a question of mine. He says 2-4 days everyone is different but as long as it is consistent.. remember your only eating 1000 calories per day if that and in my case i work out like 500-600 per day. So my net is very small.. I do take probiotic to assist and i just started a cleanse a few days ago and i have gone everyday. The cleanse helps but im almost at goal and i am just trying to take off the last 10-15lbs Chris
  14. OK first thing is you should contact your DR and your Nutritionist. If you are following the "plan" and excersising as well you should be losing. Stalls dont normally happen til 2-3 months in and then another around the 6 month point. They do happen and that is what i was advised by several people.. Stalls last 2-4 weeks so that part is normal but it doesnt make sense that u are stalling this early.. What are you eating? How much are you excercising. Water WATER WATER also.. Id love to give you more advise but something could possibly be wrong also and that is why im saying you should contact your weight loss center.. I mean some woman was on here yesterday and posted something about eating 4oz of mashed potatoes. Cant be more wrong. I hope your doing majority Protein... I wish you the best and wanted to chime in ,, Chris
  15. Bariatrc fushion.. all in one. bariatric Vitamin designed for the sleeve and gastric. Chris
  16. I wish it is -2 here right now!!! BRRRRRRRRRR Chris
  17. PLEASE PLEASE stop eating Potatoes!! SO SO SO NO NO NO.. 4 oz is way to much potatoes,,. Your total intake should be 4-6 ounces,, Dont give up on this. Potatoes expand as they go down .. You wont be able to fit anything else.. ,,, Keep going. Its not a race. The idea is to sustain the loss. stalls happen typically month3 and month 6 they they do fluctuate and last 2-4 weeks.. The way to break the stall is workout a little more and Protein.. I wish you the best Chris
  18. I went from a 52" waist to a 34" I went from a 4x shirt to a large. Whata pain in the neck re clothes but ALL GOOD!!! Chris
  19. H there. Im Chris. Id love to be friends with all... Chris
  20. SAY BYE BYE we all hope to your diabetes,. Good luck and we all wish you the best with it. Chris
  21. HMMM.. Only thing I can say on that is my surgeon said to me at the beginning.. " Im providing you with a tool to fix the problem.. What you do with this tool is totally up to you" basically warning me lifestyle change and it can come back if you let it. So i thnk you have to get on a mindset that is not instant magic and its up to you and your support staff. I wish you the best of luck with this.. Im only 7 months out but i have lost total close to 200lbs in 9 or so months. Please try and take on that mindset of it being a tool but its up to you no matter what Chris
  22. Found that one out the wrong way. To much sugar obviously. Even the low sugar one. At the gym they make a PB&J Protein shake. Which is a chocolate shake with a scoop of Peanut Butter in it a few strawberries and 12 ounces apple juice!! It destroyed me for about an hour!! OK never again......
