  1. Really gettin sick of not being able to post in a thread! I have tried to post in the June post op thread and I get the error report! Grrrrrr when will these glitches stop!? It's really getting annoying to be able to post one minute and not the next! Hope they fix this soon!!! I see why people are getting frustrated and leaving. :-/
  2. Welcome aboard!!! I'm still pre-op but always willing to listen and help with anything I may have heard or know. As for the pain in the right side, be very careful and get that checked very soon! That could be the appendix! My brother had what he described as a mild achy ness in his and his appendix were going bad fast! His burst before they got him to surgery. Please just be careful! That scarred me for life! Lol
  3. Thank you DL! You are real a gem! Hope y'all have a fabulous day as well. *toodles*
  4. Congrats!!! Your doing great!
  5. Ok so been waiting to hear an update!!! What did dr say!?
  6. I'd love or u to inbox me ur drs diet? I wonder if it's the same one my dr has me doing post op?!?thanks in advance.
  7. That's a hell of a weight loss! Congrats! I only hop to be as successful. I have 79 lbs to lose (dr goal) or 99 lbs for personal goal. I wish u all the best!
  8. I believe that question WAS answered! A real friend would support you and NOT treat someone different for WLS, and a real friend would support her decision reguardless! So to answer her question.... If they're treating u different they're not real friends, was the answer. Yes people in general will treat you differently ... But your real friends WONT!!
  9. I somehow missed this post! But my thoughts (not that they're important or anything!) but here's what I think! I think you are a complete genius! I love everything you just said! It's true that sometimes we do tend to loosely over use the word friend. I'm guilty of it as well. My best friend Beth, has been in my life or years. She's seen the good, bad, and really ugly divorce, and yet not once was I judged. She knows I am doing WLS, and she is totally supportive! She is making sure I make all my appts by keeping my lil kiddos while I do the appts, she has listened to the endless rants about Protein shakes, and is even keeping the kiddos while I have the surgery. That to me is the REAL friend. She is the one that I call all the and rant or rave to and I never get judged. That's a friend! If we are afraid to tell people that we are having the surgery, then maybe they're more of an associate than a friend. Not that it is a bad thing, but I think it is really important to realize the difference within ourselves. Our friends will support us when others won't. And that is a great thing. However if you don't have that special person in your life, this site is amazing for support! I use both to vent what I'm feeling, my successes, and sometimes to just chatter. I hope this makes sense to just one person! Lol and like I've always said.... If you want a straight shooter to talk to... DL is the perfect person to talk to! He's got tons of experience and knowledge to share!!! Happy Tuesday y'all!!
  10. Your mom sounds like my mom. I haven't told my mom I'm even having RNY cause she's already said.." It's the easy way out and only people that can't do it the right way, do that surgery". So that being said, no reason to sabatoge myself for her to feel good. She is over 400 lbs and won't do a thing about it. If she knows I'm on a diet at 220 lbs, she tells me to shuddup and eat... I'm being an idiot. She has no meaning of support! So that being said.... There are tons of ppl here that will support you in ur journey and everyday life! I have made so many good friends on this site that let me vent about everything! You will love it here! Welcome aboard!!!
  11. Way to go!!! Wish I could lose! Dr told me to hold off on weight loss til sept cause if I lose anymore weight insurance won't cover it. Uuuuuuuugh! Frustration! But congrats on ur weight loss!!!
  12. Ty so much for sharing in my excitement! I was totally stoked when he told me I was the perfect patient and that he knows I'm gonna succeed at this!! I left wishing it was sept! Lol
  13. My grandma always got a coffee cup of water, stirred a sharpened lead pencil in it for 1 minute and then drank it.... It worked for her! Idk!?! Lol I never personally really ever had bad hiccups.
  14. Ty Ty Ty so much! Just ordered 3 sets of bags!!! I love this site!!!
  15. So today I went to see my surgeon. I've known him since 2010! He knew me right away. He walks in and says "Hey Miss prego with the bad gall bladder!" And I was 8 mos preg with my baby when he did my gall bladder. Comforting for ur dr to remember u after not seeing him in 3 yrs and he hadn't seen my chart.... It was in the room with me! So we talked. He agrees that I can have RNY in sept! Yay!!! I have a month. Not exactly a date but I will settle for a month. He tells me that I have to have open RNY cause I have 5 other surgery scars on my tummy. So ok, I'm good with this! After checkin my belly out, he tells me that I have not one but 2 hernias that he needs to repair while he has me open and asleep. So I that's gonna add a lil more to my surgery than I wanted but whatever. I surprised him when I had all the info I have learned from this site. It was a great feeling going in so prepared. He then gave me a folder of 55 pages and told me to read over it and write down any questions I have and call his nurse and she will be happy to answer anything we wanna know! Impressive to me!!! So after my informative appt, I went and met my bariatric coordinator, she was super sweet. She set up all my classes and the psych eval, dietician, and my excercise coach appts. I take 3 classes in feb and 1 in March. And I was told that January counts as month one of the process! Great news!!! Over all it was a fantastic appt, and my dr says it will be a great journey and he feels I will do super! Woot woot!!! I'm feeling totally stoked!
  16. Rub ur belly, not the incisions, right to left in a rainbow and it will help. Apply as much pressure doing it as u can tolerate..... It works the gas towards the bowels. Hope it helps!
  17. I just about peed myself reading that!!! Lmao!!
  18. I totally agree! I got sick in Dec and was in the hospital, my best friend brought. My 5. & 7 yr olds up to see me. They "seemed" ok at the time and now when I go to the dr, they ask if I'm coming home and beg me not to be sick. I am still working on getting them to understand that I'm not sick and everyone goes to the dr. I really regret doing that to them for my own selfish reason (missing my babes) and I hope I can prevent any other kid from feeling the anxiety my kids now feel!
  19. When r u thinking Ull have surgery?!?
  20. I was cleaning the bathroom, and went to take the dirty clothes to the laundry, come back and find my daughter trying to clean that toilet! I flipped! I'm saying how gross that is......She died laughing at me and I snapped a photo!
  21. Dee, not sure if u seen this pic I posted... But here's my kiddos.... ] Click each attatchment to see the pics! All but one of my kiddos is posted.... She's 15 and wasn't having it! Lol I have em from 3-20!
  22. Hi Dee! So glad to have ya here!! You will have tons of info to put into those of us getting ready to go thru or just went thru this surgery. You will be a great asset on our journeys or sure!!! Welcome!
  23. I'm still pre-op, but listening to all this makes me think of Larry the cable guy! Lol.... Puts a whole new meaning to the walkin farts! Lmao!!! All I can say to my family is "Aren't payback a B!"
  24. I am so sorry for both of u. I also lost my brother, tho a whle ago still very fresh! You never recover from it. I wish I could take ur pain away! :-( Praying for u both! On a good note.... I'm very proud of ya for staying with the safe shakes!!! It's so easy to lose this diet when tradgidy strikes!
