It's funny you mentioned that! My daughter and I were just talking last night about me buying a few things in each size. I told her I didn't wanna get a lot of any one size... Just a few things cause u never know how long ur gonna be in that size! Hahaha... Good info!

Congrats on ur weight loss!!! So glad to hear it does get better! That's a good thing to know.

I have been taking them for lung issues. So far I'm up to 40 mgs a day and it's just packing on the weight! I am going the 2nd of jan to talk to my dr. I am so over taking them and I am just to the point of refusing them. They have me on prednisone and inhaled steroids. One or the other.... But not both. It's causing me to feel like I'm starving constantly. Always eating and always gaining weight! I feel like I'm losing a no win battle. In July I was down to 170, and now after 3 mos of doubled up steroids.... I'm up to 228! That's a lot to gain! Not to mention.... Nothing fits anymore either! Lol

That's become me. I am reading nonstop and trying to learn all there is to know about WLS. I wanna make sure I am ready and prepared. I don't like surprises... Lol

Oh that's great info! I never thought about any of that! This site is teaching me so much that I would never have known. I can't imagine being without it going on this journey. Can't imagine someone not having it for the information, friendships, and support buddies that I have made. Couldn't do this blindly for sure! Ty all for the info!

I'm so glad to be y'all's WLS buddies! We are going to do fantastic!! I am so glad we are all doing this together and I'm not the only one in the beginning stages of this process!!!

Thank you teacher lady and Autumn! I am trying to be patient and just kinda forget that it's coming until it gets closer to that time.... But at the same time I'm trying to learn all I can and read al I can about the process. I really want to be prepared and have answers before the questions! Lol

I am a 37 yr old mom of 6..... 5 girls and 1 boy... I am scared to death to even consider the idea of it... but know I am going to be so much better off once it is done. So where is everyone from? Im in Ohio.

As you know I am really new to this whole WLS stuff. I decided due to diabeties, high blood pressure (the drs can't control), sleep apnea, and diabetic neuropathy, it was time to take my life back! I currently am on a bipap machine, a hospital bed for copd and sleep apnea, and a rollator walker cause I can't walk far without becoming really winded. Yes I am a GREAT candidate for WLS! But before the negative nellies begin... I did not do this to myself. I have been really sick with copd just like my mother. Yes I believe it to be genetic! And I also come from a very large line of bigger people. And the steroids I have been on haven't helped any. So with all these factors against me.... I have battled depression and I found the fork! I was already packing on the pounds cause of medications.... So I figured this is just how it was. Then my pcp, told me about my options! Holy crap I don't have to love like this forever!?! Are u shittin me!?! Ok so I haven't given up hope completely. Now I have a new found respect for food life and myself! I am going to do whatever it takes to be around to see my babies.... All. 6 of them.... Grow up! So all that said.... I called my surgeon and scheduled my initial visit for 1-13-14!!! He told me the process and I'm excited. Is and Tone else just starting or am I alone??

I am also going thru him on my journey! he is a wonderful surgeon. I used him while 8 mos preg and my gall bladder went bad. He made sure I was never in any pain and took excellent care of me.

I'm so excited to begin this journey. I only wish I was as far long in the process as many of you are! Lol.... I know it takes time... And I'm trying to be patient. When I read the stories, I only pray I'm as successful as so many are! Thanks for supporting me thru this even if I'm not as close to the surgery date as y'all are. I just don't want to give up going thru the 8 month process.

Absolutely!! I am looking at prob a sept/Oct surgery date.... But I am super stoked! Just wish it was soon!

Then 9long months of classes, psych appt, and all the craziness gets real for me. I am a married mom of 6 kids. And I know this is not going to be easy.
