I excited to finally be able to put up this. I'm 6 month out of surgery and down 80lbs. I'm loving life and exercise now. I have 40 more to go but I'm too excited to see it come.

I've been doing very well with my sleeve. It’s said on this site all the time but I'm say it as well...Getting the sleeve was the best decision I've made and I wouldn't change anything. I had a positive outlook on the entire situation from the beginning and I truly believe that helped.

I started out at 262lbs, I lost 15lbs from doing the pre op diet, and today I weight 156lbs so total I’ve lost 106lbs. I started in a size 22 now I’m in a size 8.

No, I did not work out, however I did change my eating habits, I completely gave up sugar and only do sugar substitute or sugar free. I do Protein first and I eat a lot of Protein Bars, I can’t stand the shakes they make me nauseous.

In the beginning this was all like a fantasy or a dream, but now I’m actually living it and it feels wonderful.

Hey all finally checking in! Had my surgery and went great with no issues. But I did wake up swinging due to the fact I was waken up and it scared me lol. But Im on stage 2 now, which is soft foods only and Protein Shakes. Im down 20 lbs, 10 before and 10 now. Im on the ok to walk at the gym, but thats it. My steri stripes just came off and they look good, my incisions are healing great. I used the pain pump twice at the hospital and pain meds only twice at home due to be NASTY!

Hey I'm Stephanie, I'm 28 and I have no children yet. Tried for yrs but can't due to my size. I've always been heavy every since I was a child. Lost 50 lbs in college due to lifestyle change, but gained back all and some more once back home. Highest weight was 297, now 287 and can't wait to finally see a smaller number. I'm done with all my testing and just got my insurance approval today in the mail.com. I really don't have much support, only from mom and fiance. All my friends are health nuts and don't believe in this, they believe good old fashioned exercise is the way to go. They don't get it and understand, they have been skinny their whole lives. But can't wait to April 21st for this. Monday I start my two week diet and ready for it!

I'm two months out from VSG and am down 53 pounds. Finally took a post-op picture and I can see a little change. Feels good to actually be able to see the positive change.
Left picture is 346.6 on surgery day... The right is 2 months post-op. Same clothes.

Well I had lost 101lbs 5 months and 117lbs as of 7 months. LOVE MY SLEEVE! How much more do you think I can lose? HW 325, SW 301, CW 209. My goal in my head was 175lbs but I REALLY think I can get to a normal BMI of 140lbs. I'm trying really hard by exercising, Proteins and lots of Water. Any suggestions? Februarly only lost 4 lbs but March lost 10 lbs. Really hoping for 15lb loss for April to get me to well under ONDERLAND!!!! Happy Sleeving all

I started my journey on June 18, 2012 at 334.9 lbs, I was a very sad and sick woman who was not living, just existing. Well fast forward 6 months and I weigh 233 lbs (101 lbs), everything about my life has changed! I am loving my new life, enjoying my new body (so is my husband, he's like a kid on Christmas morning - every day!) and I love it! Thank you to Dr. King in Oxford, Mississippi, your my hero! The pictures below speak for themselves, the first two are before and are the most I ever weighed, the first one is the saddest I was ever in my life! The last two are last week (Dec 11) and I still can't believe it's me!

    Feb 2012, 345 lbs

May 2012, 334.9 lbs (surgery day weight)

    Dec 11, 2012, 234 lbs

iagree2shine got a reaction from KeeWee in what to expect during my pre-op diet?
Just like Scylla I'm on 4 shakes a day plus non starchy vegatables with my surgery on April 21st.
But I do have a headache and I am sleepy but thats normal for me when I switch my eating habits. Hopefully like everyone says it will fade and get better.

I agree, I also have BCBS IL and no hoops either. Since I went to a center of excellence, they are quicker to approve.

iagree2shine got a reaction from 1Day1Life4Now in Not to Long Before My Surgery
Today I went to my final appointment with my nutritionist and I past all the requirements. After three months of appointments, I'm finally approved for surgery. We scheduled my before surgery nutrition class for two weeks from now. And she stated that expect my surgery within two weeks from that. It feels like my journey has taken forever, even though it has been three short months. But by the way my insurance didn't require three months, but the center I'm choosing to go to requires all there people to be fully ready and not a moment sooner.
At this appointment I was given my list of Vitamins and two companies I have to choose from. Celebrate and Bariatric Advantage I have to get one month supply from. I'm getting super excited!
