Freaking Out WHAT HAVE I DONE
It definitely requires a change. Make sure you are getting enough water or liquids. I had a few bad experiences but that is sometimes part of the process. Hang in there.

Anyone struggling with mental problems?
I had a.couple of days where my thoughts were very black and I wouldn't get out of bed or eat and barely drank. I snapped out of it but I not only scared my family but myself.

If you feel things sticking then stop drinking or eating for 5 mins and then see if you can have a bit more.

What ya eating tonight?
It was my dads birthday so I had a few bites of lobster and a few bites of salad. Yum but I knew I could only have a bit when I started to feel it get stuck. Caught it before it was a big problem and stopped. It was an expensive dinner.

February Surgeries
An extension cord was helpful during my stay. With the limited outlets,tray and IV poles it was necessary for my iPad and iPhone.

I would have a difficult time if I couldn't eat nuts and I am only a month out.

MMPI personality test/MBMD for Psych evaluation
I was interviewed by a psychologist and answered several questions that was part of a required course that also included a nutritionist. I attended 12 meetings.

December post ops
Doing ok. Had some issues with foamies and dumping as I was in an experimental mode to test food. Had to learn the hard way. I have trouble with food sticking but once I get rid of block, I can usually finish eating. Because of this, I too have trouble getting in protein.

What ya eating tonight?
I had some trouble with the flank steak. I had this before with no issues. This is probably tmi but when something isn't going down, I can bring it up easily. After my pouch settled down, I tried it again and no problems. I have noticed this before....anyone else have trouble with the first bites and then tried again?

Family Diet Dynamics After Weight Loss Surgery
My family is still trying to work this out. I live with and help care for one of my parents. For right now I cook for myself as my food does not interest them. I have slowly gotten both to eat fresh vegetables over the years until my surgery. Now I see a lot of TV dinners......ug!

Pain left of belly button question
Hi Kathryn, I had the same pain and I still have some. I also had the hiatal hernia repair. The incision by my belly button is still healing and I had my surgery 12/26.

A male coworker had bypass surgery 4 yrs ago and everyone seemed to be very supportive. His experience led me to WLS eventually. But it really depends on your work situation. It seemed my coworkers were supportive but I guess I will really know once I return to work.
