  1. There is something wrong with our Health Care System. I checked the insurance claims and the HOSPITAL alone charged $85,932.93 for my surgery and 2 day stay. Thank God it was approved and of course they didn't get nearly this much from Tricare... amazing
  2. I called my Dr. office and told them I had been approved, they called the Insurance and got referral # and scheduled surgery that day for two weeks away
  3. Good Morning.....I had my two week post op appointment yesterday. All was good....as of this morning, including the pre op diet, I am down 27.4 pounds.... He set my wt loss goal about 20 less than I would like, I don't want the air to go all out of my face, but we will see. Now I have to start the exercise portion and this doc should run a boot camp!!! I get to start soft foods today, 2 shakes and the 3rd meal is 1/4 c of greek yogurt, or soft soft meat etc. I am thinking some of the bison I made in the crockpot for my husband a few days ago, just cooked in water and seasoned. Doc says fine but don't be surprised if a few small bites and I am full. Funny how different doctors have different rules.
  4. I forgot to say my hair was falling out from stress, and probably excess vodka as I crawled into a bottle.....
  5. I have WEN but almost 11 years ago, my husband of 32 years was suddenly killed in an accident, my hair began to fall out severely....i started using the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and it stopped. Good luck. P.S. Have you talked to your doc about it???

  9. I am 5 ft 4 in and based on that the doctor says after the two week post op, I will need about 60 mg protein. Right now I am getting 90 and that in Premier Shakes is 510 calories
  10. I had to do two weeks and lost 13 lbs, I was back up after surgery but less than two weeks post op I am down 21. My doctor told me the purpose of his two week pre op diet is not to lose wt, but to get used to putting protein first and mainly to shrink the fatty liver
  11. I have drank lemon water for years but be careful as it is a diuretic
  12. I LOVE the chocolate Premier Shakes, ready to drink, available at Costco, Sams Club and some Walmarts. They also have the powder which I am going to pick up tomorrow.
  13. what do you mean you "don't get on with it"? If it is the mask, it takes a while to find the right one
  14. correct. I use mine every night
  15. They told me to bring my mask and didnt use it either but it would not have worked with the cannula anyway...
