  2. My surgeon glued mine, thank God, I hate staples and having to have them removed. Wow! You are eating already? Different doctors..different ways....best of luck Four weeks out for me today and I get to add 1/4 c soft fruit or veggies
  3. I can only tell you that my hospital bill was about $86,000. I have insurance that covered it. You go to the consult, self pay is always cheaper
  4. I wasn't nervous at all, even as I was being prepped for surgery. I don't know why... Best of blessings
  5. I just didn't. I did not want to hear everyone's opinion. I told my kids and discussed it with my husband, that's it...

  7. I had surgery Feb 26 and have lost 34 lbs. But I was told that week three is when it slows down, HOWEVER, you should, I think, lose something in 3 weeks. For one thing, you need at least 75 oz. of water. How is your exercise? Put away the scale and stop obsessing, we all get addicted to when we lose something every day. I am going to weigh once a week now.....try increasing your movement and you water and if you don't see any results in a week, you should , I think, ask for a nutritional.. good luck and don't give up!!
  8. I was so afraid not to follow my doctors instructions completely on pre op for fear I would go through all that and the bowel prep, get there ad he would tell me to go home!!!

  11. No followup.......I had one at 2 weeks with my surgeon, have another at 6 weeks etc
  12. How do you get followups when you have surgery out of the US? I have always wondered that.
  13. Your body is still adjusting and trying to shed all the IV fluid they pumped into you. No worries, stick to the plan and it will happen...

  15. Before my chewables came in, I crushed a calcium and put it in yogurt and it was disgusting.......it ruined my greek yogurt LOL
  16. We live rural so we always track our medical mileage. This year we had over 7000 miles
  17. end of week 3 yesterday and my doc still has me about 400 calories..
  18. Did your doc say you couldn't still take the Imatrex? I used to take those for migraines. Also remember, aside from migraines, not drinking enough water will cause a headache.
  19. I would say definitely talk to your doc and maybe see a Nutritionist
  20. It isn't a diet, it's a way of life................
  21. You should ask your chosen Surgeon
  22. How about "If I don't have this surgery, I am going to die"
  23. If instead of saying "I can't have it"...you said "I am full, I don't want it", that would really throw her for a loop......
  24. Does anyone have a recipe for this???
