  1. Hey Brandy, I had the same concern before I got my surgery, I worked out frequently prior to surgery as well. I got my surgery 3 weeks ago. I started walking for an hour at lunch a week after my surgery and yesterday I went to the gym and had a full blown workout. I ran for 30 mins, did the eliptical for 30 mins and then worked my upper body and did squats and lunges. Today I am a little sore (as would be expected after not working out for 3 weeks) but other than that, I am surprised at how my fitness level did not decline as much as I would have expected. Hope this helps :-) Good luck to you!
  2. Thank you all for your support, I guess I really needed to let it out in order to move forward. What about the fills? do they hurt? I have also read that it may take several fills before you feel satiety.
  3. I only hurt once. I am able to take foods easilly. Yes, I am afreaid I am eating too much, and my doctor said that I was not suposed to eat solids till next week. I feel like a failure because I got this surgery as a last resort and here I am eating. I am just miserable!
  4. I was banded 3 weeks ago and have been eating solid foods since week 2. I have been eating less and droped 16lbs, but I am miserable, I feel like a failure and I am afraid that I have ruined my band. I think I want to have the surgery reversed. My first fill is next wednesday and I am terrifed of even facing my doctor...:think
  5. Thank you so much for your input. It is really nice to hear from someone who has had the same issue but is further along. It is good to know that things do get better :-)
  6. Hi there, Just had my surgery on Last Friday. But I am really depressed. I hav healed just fine and am back o my normal workout routine. The problem is that I can eat whaever I want. I feel like I just wasted $14,000. I hope that when I get my first fill it will help me feel satiety.
  7. Hi there, I hope that things get better! I feel the same way, how did I get so big? It scares me that I can eat! I don't want to be able to! It is depressing!
  8. Hi there, Just wanted to say HELLO ALL :faint:
  9. Hi there, Just wantrd to let you know that you are not alone. I got banded lat friday. I am on pureed food and am not feeling full at all. I have lost 11.5lbs, however, I have been trying really hard not to overeat. I really do hope that this is not a permenant thing. I would not be able to live with myself if I went through all this hassle and fail to loose weght. It is to the point where I am starting to regret having this done :-(
  10. Hello there, I am sure you will be up and going in no time! You have already lost 35lbs!! That is awsome!!! :-) How is everything else going, do you miss chewing food? I certainly do and I am only a week out...
  11. Hello, I just got banded on Friday. It seems to be going well. I have not weighed myself, so I have no idea how much weight I have lost. I too regretted the day before and can't say that I am done regretting. I have not had any bad experiences, but I kinda miss food and am a little grumpy. I too took a lick of frozen youghurt and was full... HOW CRAZY. Sounds like you are doing great :-). Hope it all works out well... I am a runner (I have always worked out even at my heaviest) and the lack of excersise is really bumming me out. I injured my ankle (probably due to my weight) while training for a half marathon last year. I have not gotten back in the groove since. So today, I went on raceplace.com and decided to start trainig for a short race in November. I hope that I will be up and running (so to speak) soon. I am still fairly sore... That is my update for today :-)
