    What to eat?

I hit four months this past Saturday. I eat protein only. Cheese stick for breakfast, and a piece of meat for lunch and dinner. I eat such a small portion I usually have left over meat in fridge. Occasionally a few almonds as a snack.
  2. Great job! You look fab! Love the data. I do it too. I also went as far to measure right and left arm/thigh/calf bc my left side is slightly larger. I'm 5'4". I've lost 51% of excess weight. My starting was 320.8 bmi of 55.1. Today I am 227.8 bmi of 39.1. Dr goal weight for me is 138 bmi of 23.7. However at last Dr appt she said no way will I likely reach 138 bc my bone structure is too large. She said about 50-60 more pounds and I'll probably be just right. So let's say 160 is new goal, I've lost 58% excess and will end with a bmi of 27.5 and will still be overweight. Yiyiyi... I agree with lipstick, I'm more concerned about clothing size.

    Highlights and waiting post sleeve

Glad you got your hair done. It definitely makes one feel better. I've had my hair highlighted twice since surgery and I'm only 3 months out. My hair dresser had the surgery herself two years ago, so she knows does and donts. We did do low lights with highlights this last time to lessen the amount of bleach.

    FREAKING OUT!

    Congrats! Great accomplishment.
  5. I have my 3 month Dr appt tomorrow. The 19th will be actual 3 months. They may lessen my restriction tomorrow, but at this point I'm eating protein only (soft meats and cheese). I haven't been cleared for anything else. I eat a reduced fat cheese stick for breakfast. And I'm only able to eat 1/2 oz meat. I have 3 meals a day, no snacks. I drink protein drinks and water.
  6. I didn't wear jeans for about 6 weeks. I tried them on a time or two. Not tight, but wasn't very comfortable when sitting. But I don't work either so I didn't have to dress for a job.
  7. Sounds like it varies a lot... I stayed one night. Was released after lunch the day after surgery.
  8. I would try to keep as much normal for them as possible. Cook their meals, sit down at the table with them while they eat. Maybe cook ahead for the first few days, but you'll be able to cook in no time. Having kids you can't lay around, I have three myself.

    Disneyland

I think you'll be exhausted and need to rest a lot. Make sure you sip on your protein drinks and water.

    7 day cruise

Love the before and after: amazing transformation. And your formal picture is fabulous. Glad you both had a great time and were able to enjoy the food.
  11. Oh wow, that hurts to look at. I'll be three Months March 19th, so I'll know it'll start happening for me soon.

Do you take PPI for life?

I'll be 3 months march 19th. I was told I only had to take it for three months, but to be honest I'm scared to stop taking it. Don't want issues..

    ***FYI on Sleeve***

My insurance company required I lose 5%. (15lbs) I lost and gained the first four months of my 6 month diet. Finally last two months I got it in gear and lost the weight. If I hadn't I wouldn't have been approved.
  14. I didn't ask how many surgeries my surgeon had done. Never crossed my mind. Insurance company sent me to center of excellence, board certified dr.
  15. For my directions: Nothing counts as water but water. I'm to have 64oz water plus 80-120 G protein. I am almost 3 months out and have not once reached the 64oz. I focus more on getting protein in and when I'm not drinking protein, or eating, or taking meds or waiting the 30 min before or after meals... I drink water.
