    December 2013 Sleevers

From what everyone else says on here, stalls and plateaus are completely normal. I was the same weight for about 3 weeks then it finally started coming off again. Maybe you need to eat more! Your body might think it's starving and it's hanging onto what it has instead of burning it

I'm down 71 as of this morning. The only suggestion I have is be consistent. Chose what you eat very wisely, ESP since you can't eat much. I get into habits where I eat the same thing. For months I have eaten one can of chicken noodle soup. It fills me up and is low in calories! I thought I would be sick of soup after that liquid diet but I still love it. It doesn't hurt my stomach.

I need to exercise more! I use the elliptical 3 times a week but I need to increase that up to 5 days a week and go longer. I'll be honest, I don't eat much at all. Around 800 calories a day. My biggest issue is beer. I am not suppose to drink anything for a year and I've drank several times. It's empty calories!!! Ugh.

    December 2013 Sleevers

Sleeved on 12/16. Down 45 pounds since 12/2. Feeling great. Hardest thing for me is getting protein in and drinking before and after eating. I want to drink so bad after I eat and it makes me throw up every single time. Biggest struggle!

Me, too!!! I'm not weighing everyday but I better be losing. It was time for dinner tonight and I didn't even want to eat. So tired of soups. My doctor never stressed a certain amount of protein so I haven't been counting it. I probably haven't had a ton of protein bc I can hardly drink the protein shakes. I'm getting depressed too. Like I said. I better be losing!
  8. I think not feeling regret would actually be odd. Most people that are morbidly obese love food. (I'm speaking about myself). I had my surgery and I have absolutely felt sorry for myself. Reading pre-op and post-op discussions is just that. Reading. Experiencing can be a totally different thing. I DO NOT regret having this surgery done, but have I had feelings of regret, yes. This is a life changing surgery. Period. Being on liquid diet during the holiday is very tough, especially for people that LOVE food. I think 98% of this experience is mental. It's in our heads. We just all need to try to remain positive and try our best to stick to our doctor's orders and change our mentality about food. Every single person that elected to have this surgery was UNHAPPY about their bodies. I just hope in one year I can look at my body and be HEALTHY and HAPPY. It's all be worth it, every sad and regretful feeling will have been worth it!

It's is so hard to not eat and drink together. I just had soup at Newks and I had to wash it down with water. I'm full as a tick, which is great, but sometimes I don't see how you can avoid a sip!

It's so strange that every doctor has a different diet. I am one week post op and I am on the "creamy" stage but he said creamy soups only (besides protein shakes and clear broths). I see a lot of ppl get refried beans and eggs, etc. Weird!!

How much are you eating at one time? I think I'm eating kinda a lot and I should measure things. I haven't eaten so much I've hurt yet. I'm just so paranoid this won't work for me even tho I've already lost 23 pounds. I think so much of this is mental.
  12. It will be good in the long run. It's an adjustment and I have felt regrets too but hopefully I will be over 100 pounds down. Weight is something we will struggle with our whole lives. This will help. How much weight have you lost?
