    Sleeve to Bypass weight loss

Following this board, I'm also in the process of looking into a revision. Would love to hear more updates from others that have revised from sleeve to bypass.

    Arthritis Supplements

Hi. Does anyone know if it's ok to take this kind of supplement after having the sleeve? I have arthritis in my knees and the pain has gotten worse so I was thinking about trying the "Move Free Ultra" joint supplement. I'm waiting for a call back from my surgeons office about this but was wondering if anyone here took this kind of drug. I don't see anything on the package that states it has NSAIDs in it.

Good luck on your surgery tomorrow! Please keep us posted on how your revision goes.
  6. My story, I had the sleeve in July 2014 at 300 pounds, got down to 210 by July of the following year but have been stuck there since. Gain & lose the same 5 pounds no matter what I do. Have tried increasing/decreasing calories, switching up exercising, 5 day pouch reset - you name it I've tried it but I'm stuck and frustrated. It seems like my body decided 210 was the weight it wants to stay at. I never had the big weight loss from the sleeve like I expected. When people were dropping big weight in the beginning months, my was coming off at a snails pace. I also never felt like I had the tight restriction most people spoke about. When we started eggs, most were like "I can only eat a couple bites" and I could eat 1 without any issues and not feel full. I honestly didn't feel like I even had a surgery. I can eat anything without issues and more of it at a time than I ever thought I would be able to after the sleeve surgery. So I'm not looking at possibly going for a revision from sleeve to bypass, but I have a couple questions for those that have been through it. What is your restriction from the pouch like compared to the sleeve? What was your starting weight when you had the revision and how much have you been able to lose since the revision? Do you have any issues with foods after the bypass that you didn't have with the sleeve? Do you regret the revision or happy with your results? I don't have any issues with GERD, I'm just unhappy with my total weight loss. I appreciate any feedback you can give me.

    SLEEVE TO BYPASS REVISION

I'm really glad I found this thread. My story, had the sleeve in July 2014 at 300 pounds, got down to 210 by July of the following year but have been stuck there since. 8. I'm sorry your friend reacted like she did. Was she aware you were in the process of getting the surgery? Or was this a total surprise to her? I agree that she probably feels somewhat like a failure since she regained weight. I would suggest you have an honest talk with her to find out exactly why she reacted like she did. Is she is upset by her regain, or fearful that you will end up being smaller than her or maybe something else is going on in her life that you don't even know about? Perhaps you can suggest that you and her work together once you have the surgery. You could help get her back on the right path and she can share her tips with you that helped her originally lose the weight. Good luck.
  9. I went back to work 1 week and 2 days after having surgery, however I felt like I could have gone back within a couple days. Compared to other surgeries I have had, gallbladder, hysterectomy - the sleeve was a very easy recovery for me. However, everyone is different. I hope you bounce back quickly.

Can anyone else eat this much?

Thanks for everyone's input. I realize this wasn't the way to do a "pouch test", but as I said I always could eat more than others. I never thought pre-op that even if I went crazy and over ate that I would be able to eat the amounts that I can. I've made an apt with my surgeons office to get the size of my sleeve checked. I know I will always need to watch what I eat, but was hoping for way more restriction from the sleeve.
