  1. For breakfast I like to get a sausage patty with sone fruit and i rinse off the excess syrup with water when I'm on the go. It's the only "fast food" I eat.
  2. I meant to say I used to be his chef. All the portions are made based on ur height and weight and whether you want to tone, lose weight, maintain, etc. his food is a bit pricey and even though he uses a lot of good carbs like quinoa, which is also high in protein, a lot of it is still too many carbs for us sleevers. You can try it but also make your own meals for a whole week and reheat the food and it will save you a lot of money .
  3. I used to his his chef when he first started.

Wow that's mean. Doesn't make sense? Isn't he supposed to be ur husband ? I hope ur ok and ur feelings aren't hurt.
  8. I met with my doctor yesterday and asked him the same thing because I am a type one, insulin resistant diabetic and he told me that once I Start my preop to cut back on insulin and check my blood sugars to monitor them. I've had type one for 15 years so I personally know how to mange how much to take and so forth. He told me once I start losing I will be taking less insulin and by then I can adjust it how I need to. Hope I helped
  9. Totally off subject but I was born at park plaza hospital. I'm from Houston too.
  10. You can soak in some Epsom salt in ur hot tub. It really helps your aches and pains. You can get some lavender scented salts at Walmart. I like it because it soothes as well as relieves stress.
  11. That's great Lissa! I remember my first time, I died but I kept pushing just like you and kept going. I did it for an hour a few times and I wanted to pass out. Lol
  12. I'm going with Dr. Alvarez. He's a bit more , 8750, but he's also done 4200 sleeves and I just went to his seminar today and I really think he is amazing! I feel I couldn't have chosen anyone better.
  13. Take the cup u drink out of then fill it up with ice then fill that cup 3/4 with skim milk and add a half packet of sugar free jello pudding (I like cheesecake, or butterscotch) with one scoop vanilla protein powder and blend. If its too thick add more skim milk. If you want it sweeter Then add some torani sf vanilla syrup. It's really tasty.
  14. I have insanity and did it for a week (5 days) and it is hard. I kinda stopped doing it regularly but once I lose more weight I plan on using it to tone up and lose more. I get sleeved in July
  15. I just came back from doctor Alvarez's seminar and he really is amazing! I'm so glad I chose him for my Vsg!!
  16. This was his response: Yes we use both. Leg pump in the OR and low molecular weight heparin like Levonox. :-)
  17. I just ask Dr. Alvarez those questions. I'm waiting for him to respond and I'll let u know
  18. You can email Susan and she responds pretty quickly. I gotta ask that question, thanks for that.
  19. When I trained with my trainer I did elliptical for 60 minutes and I died! LoL. I would love to buy one for my house so I can do it each day. I really don't want a gym membership again and love being in the privacy of my home.
  20. Try cooking a Cornish hen in a crockpot with some hidden valley ranch powder and olive oil on low for 5-6 hours and it falls off the bone. U can add veggies too like broccoli and califlower. Take it easy on the ranch because of the sodium. Make sure u peel off the skin before eating. It's good and simple.
  21. Maybe ? Not sure, ask ur doc for sure.
  22. It can be dehydration or your blood sugar. Are you a diabetic ? Do you take any types of meds? High blood sugar causes dark urine, also if you're just post op, all the fluids in the IVs they give you can be clearing thru ur system.
  23. You should tell him something , I would , sorry to hear that. Other than that I hope u had a happy anniversary. ;/
