Deb, I did really well. I did not have any of what you described but the pain from the gas. The pain is in my shoulder. But I have not had any today. Yesterday I had four Protein drinks, two cans of Soup, and a Popsicle!! How was the flight? Did the tapping work? Hope it all goes more smoothly from now on for you. Sincerely, Cleone

My one thing people don't know about me, I am what you get when you cross a gay alcoholic and Pollyanna. I must say it is not a bad combination!

I have been able to drink protein drinks, creamy chicken soup, jello and of course, lot of h2o. I don' have any gurgiling up, but it does hurt a little when I burp, like a pressure feeling. I am so excited! Cleone:kiss2:

I got my band in Acuna Mexico this past Friday:biggrin1:. It is all going very well except I have some shoulder pain. It was not as bad as I expected. I am so happy I could dance! Good luck to all you October bandsters! Cleone :biggrin1:

I am getting so excited, 9-28 for me! I have been so encouraged by all the posts. Thank you all. It is so wonderful to see how everybody else did, I just feel like I know what to expect. Maybe there is a leak in your band, so you are not able to get restriction?

Dear Elizabeth, Hang in there girl! You can do this. Try and get your mind off eating, maybe call someone on the phone or chat on the bandster chat board. I will get my band 9-28. I can't figure out how come some people are hungry and others are not. Anyway, good luck, you can do this. Cleone

Debbi, you forgot to say where in Mexico. I will be in Acuna. I can do the energy tapping over the phone. It works for being afraid to fly and will also work to erase the fear of being embarrassed on the way home. I tapped a kindergartener one time and when I finished she said "OK mom lets go to the airport I'm ready to fly"...and she did both ways no problems. I am getting excited. I am clearing my schedual so I can rest a few days afterwards, how about you? Cleone

Dear Debbie, I am going to Mexico too. Dr. Rodriquez how about you? I think I can help you with the being scared. I do energy tapping, part of energy psychology. If you are game let me know. I will fix you up. Where do you live? I am in Auburn AL, War Eagle. We are going to do just fine. 300,000 people have done this. I have already started telling myself that I will go throuh surgery like a breeze, I will not be hungry, I can do what I need to (yes I am convincing my self). I am 5'6" closing in on 230 (I have been saying goodbye to a few favorite foods). I would love to muddle through this with you. Band Buddies! Write me back Cleone

I was glad to find this thread. I live in Auburn and will go to Mexico self pay on 9-28-07. I love knowing there are other Alabamians out there for me to keep up with. :bounce:

Hi! I am Cleone, 51 year old woman (hard to tell by my name) I am from Auburn Alabama WAR EAGLE! I will be banded on 9-28-07 in Mexico by Dr. Jose Rodriquez. I have been married for 19 years I have a wonderful 16 year old daughter. I now weigh 225 and I am 5'6". I am going to Mexico because I do not want to gain weight so I will be heavy enough for insurance to pay. I am a therapist at a child advocacy center and I work with sexually abused kids.
