    My band keeps getting tighter

Thank you so much for the feedback. Sometimes I think I am crazy because its not tight then it is and even though I am 7 months in I am still learing all the ins and outs. I really appreciate knowing that things like this are normal.
  2. So my band keeps getting tighter. I have had 2 unfills in a row and I am slightly confused and wondering if this has happened to others. The last unfill was today and it was after a month and a half. For the last month and a half I have been fine, still a little restricted but able to eat mostly anything in 1/2 cup to a cup portions. 3 weeks ago I traveled oversees for work and was there for almost 2 weeks. I was a little worried about that because flying generally makes my band a bit tighter but I had no tightness issues (meaning it was no tighter than normal). I have been back for a week and 3 days and I was just fine (my band was slightly tighter but still nothing unusual after flying) until yesterday. Yesterday I had trouble keeping Water down and was finally able to have some last night with a cup of beef broth. I thought maybe it was loosening up but this morning I ended up throwing up the water I had to take my thyroid pill with and haven’t been able to keep anything down. I called my doctors office and they had me come in immediately for an unfill. I absolutely love my doctor and his staff btw. So I got an unfill and can now drink water again and will try Soup in an hour or two. So my question is for those that are on here has anyone else experienced something like this? Oh I should mention my doctor did x-rays last time and the band was in perfect placement and there was no slippage. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
  3. Hi all! I had my first fill last week. I have noticed a difference but really didn't day of. I was on liquids for 24 hours and then on mushy foods for 24 hours and then I was able to eat normally. I really didn't know what to expect after my first fill and its not what I thought. The first day back on real foods I was still eating softer foods and ate over a cup. I was able to do so but it made me extremely uncomfortable (heartburn and gassy). Since then I have been making sure to eat no more than 1 cup of food per sitting. I have had an issue of feeling stuck when ] I made tuna and tried to eat it on toasted bread (I had read somewhere that is the bread was toasted you would be able to eat it) and it was very clear after one bite that was not the case. I can take a small bite of bread but that's about it. Other than that I have been able to eat everything I have tried so far, I have just been trying to make good decisions about what that is. I could eat more than that cup but I realize that if I stop there and don't eat anymore I am full for prob 4 to 5 hours or so. So my question is does this sound right? I know everyone is different but even though the band is not exactly what I expected I am excited that it is helping me keep my portions way down so far. What is the difference between this and the green zone? Sorry for all the questions, being new to this I just don't know what I should expect and when I think I do I get it wrong (like how I thought I was going to be after first fill) Thanks so much for feedback

    Anyone getting banded in Nov?

Hi! I had my first fill last week. I have noticed a difference but really didn't day of. Anyone getting banded in Nov?

I'm on full liquids as well. Just made some homemade soup for dinner. I am glad to know someone else is tired today. I feel as if I have slept all day long and still cannot get caught up. But my incisions feel better today and I am way more mobile. Haven't eaten a whole lot today but I really am trying to make sure I keep my fluid intake up. Glad to hear everyone is doing well!!!
  6. Thank you so much. Its really nice to get feedback from people who have been there!

How are you feeling today? My incision sites are a bit stiff and sore which i wasnt really expecting that but otherwise i feel alert and focused more so than yesterday. My heating pad has been awesome and i just had my first bit of beef broth. Keep me posted yay for the road to recovery!
  8. So i was expecting the pain of gas but not the incision pain. Thhey are pretty sore. Any suggestions or thoughts. Also, i know its prob irrational but i am really concerned about port flipping. Should i be? I am on day 2 after surgery. Thanks!

  15. Hey All! I am new to this community and getting banded in November. I am super excited but also a bit nervous. Of course it does not help that I have been spending a lot of time on the internet reading about lapband the good and the bad. So if you couldnt tell from the subject line, I have a bit of a type A personality. That being said, I was wondering what advice you have as I begin this journey. What stuff to get from the store, what to expect after surgery, and things like that. Any information you have for me would be wonderful! Also, I ma not telling a ton of people (like 6 total) and an a little anxious about that so I am pretty stoked to have found this online community where I can recieve and also offer support. I start the pre opp diet next Tuesday!! Cannot beleive this is happening so quuickly but really glad it is
