    Could I be dehydrated?

Maybe your vitamins are causing the dark urine color?

    ALASKA

Are you military? Did you have your surgery at Elmendorf hosp? I've been a slower loser with a starting lower bmi. I've lost 54 total since last May but surgery in November. Real food diet is nice but the transition is slow. Go slow. Food getting stuck hurts. Make sure your meat is moist and well chewed. Congrats on a job well done so fat.

So would this app and program work well for females? Is it adaptable?

    gel-cap multi vitamin?

I have only vomited once since surgery. That was with an empty stomach taking a sample bariatric vitamin the surgeon gave me. I find that if I don't have good timing with my vitamins and food in tummy I don't feel so great. Taking them with food and a tiny bit of water helps me feel fine after taking them. Sounds like some of us don't tolerate vitamins on empty stomach, especially iron. I hope that helps.

I Knew I Was Thin When....

No more man hands and now collar bones showing up. Forgot I had some. Strangers are nicer and actually give eye contact in public and don't ignore your existence. Just a few for me. I just moved to the overweight category and out of the obese one. It sure feels nice.

    Biggest loser winner

I thought I had read a while back that in preparation for the grand finale show the last contestants do a dehydration type of diet like body builders do before competition to show muscle definition. I think it was in one of Jillian's diet books. That can cause a large Water weight loss. I have a friend who does the diet for bikini contests who is so tiny to begin with and she can go down 10 lbs that week before comps. I thought all three if those last contestants looked very dehydrated, their mouths looked so dry.

    Vitamins and protein :(

Oh shoot. First time I have heard this. Tell me this isn't so. I drink 55 grams in the am for Breakfast. Doubling my powder in milk. Do you have a good source for this? I guess I'll have to do one at night now and stop doubling my am one. Gah.

    Rings - NSV

Walmart jewelry counter has plastic things that keep your ring from falling off. Easy to use. Cheap. The metal wraps snag clothing or scratch skin unless the jeweler can wrap it nicely with no edges. I just resized mine a whole size down after 40 lbs lost and then I use the plastic Walmart things with my costume jewelry that is now all too big for me. I'll probably resize my wedding ring once more in 40 more lbs....my goal. I'm now 46.5 down.

Nov 2013 Sleevers Progress So Far...

Ready to break my stall!!!! Sleeved nov 6 and down 15 lbs. stalled for about 2 1/2 weeks. But I would rather lose slower anyway. I'm seeing wrinkles where I had a double chin. Lol. I started with lower bmi of 35 with a couple co morbids. I hit onderland shortly after surgery.
  12. Day one of liquids after a very low fat food week and many weeks of eating better to get me to this point....sleeved tomorrow!!!! Three weeks of liquid from this point forward. I hope I get sleep tonight. One more sleeved girl in Alaska.....I will let you know how it goes tomorrow. I changed my mind from a lapband a couple of weeks ago. I'm confident I chose the better path.

    November buddies where are you?

I've been over on the lapband support site for a while and just got told today by my doc that he won't have a lapband in for my scheduled surgery next week. Military hospital....won't be in until next year. I don't want to wait so it looks like I might agree to the sleeve instead. Still next week....but I have some studying up to do before I give him my answer tomorrow. I am in Alaska and have been with a nutritionist since May. I have lost about 23 lbs so far and have 70 more to go. I am at the lower BMI cut off....but was told I am pre-diabetic, pre-hypertension, pre high cholesterol and I have had PCOS for a long time. I am happy to have weightloss surgery as a tool in my belt to get this horrible weight off....I have given birth to twins twice and two more kids as well. Pre-op diet starts tomorrow with no fat....then after surgery, 3 weeks of liquid followed by mushy diet for a while. I have already turned into a gym rat and I love that part of the changes I have already made....built some great muscle tone under my fat. LOL

    Anyother November 2013 bansters?

At my hospital, we do the liquid diet for 3 weeks after surgery. Then on to mushy stuff for a while. For the time before surgery, I am expected to continue to lose weight and for the week before, a strictly low fat low sugar diet is recommended. I have Nov 6 as surgery date if my ordered band comes into the hospital in time. This is at a military hospital. I have lost about 23 lbs since about May. Got rid of some big clothes. I am right on the border of the obese scale to qualify for surgery but pre diabetes and pre hypertension and PCOS kept me on the list. I have about 70 lbs to lose. I look forward to all the November postings.
