  1. Don't stress on what to take to the hospital because you won't even use half of it. All you need is underware, slippers, pants to walk the hall in (you don't want your butt to show) and extra big clothes for the car ride home. Oh and don't forget your toothbrush. Good Luck
  2. I feel the same way. I went last Wednesday for my 3rd fill and he put 1cc in and it was so tight I had to puree food to be able to eat it and I lost 5lbs in 5 days so he met me at work and took .5cc out now I feel like I can eat just about anything. I'm so mad at myself for calling him it might have gotten better in a few days.
  3. We must be quads split up at birth. I have the same problem after 8pm. I need help!
  4. I have BCBS of PA and I had to see my PCP for 6 straight months I also had to have a psyc eval and see the dietician just one time. After I had all of that they sent it to the insurance company and I was approved in less than 48 hours. There is no pushing the paper work through you have to get what they require or they will just say no to the surgery. Good Luck and hang in there.
  5. Do you still get your period? I gain 4 lbs around that time of the month and when it's finished the 4 lbs plus another 2lbs are gone.
  6. Wait until your one on one appointment with the Dr then make a decision. If you don't like him after that than try to find someone else to see in your area.
  7. Good Luck!
  8. I'm 3 months post op and have taken pills by mouth since the day of my surgery. Did your surgeon tell you to open everything or did you do that on your own?
  9. You might be eating to much to fast. Try to slow down and see if that helps

  11. I felt the same way until the morning of day 5 when I got out of bed I thought "Oh this isn't so bad" so hang in there it does get better I promise.
  12. I agree. Page the Dr. If you go to long with out eating/drinking much you will be in the hospital with an IV in your arm and fluids running. You should have called on Friday.
  13. I always take my shoes off at the doctors because they weigh 2lbs. Do you think maybe that happens with you? If so you still lost 3lbs overnight and that is great!
  14. Every person is different, I had the surgery on 11/11/08 and lost 46lbs so far. My friend had it done 5/08 and has lost 45lbs so far.
  15. The same exact thing happend to me. It hurt really bad and it was very itchy I took Benedryl for three days only because it put me to sleep and I didn't have to deal with the pain or itchy. I went to the Emergency Room and they gave me some cream that didn't really help either. Turns out there is something in the prep they use called Chlorhexidine that I am allergic to and now have to list it as an allergy. I work in a hospital with the stuff all the time and have to be very careful. I think you should call your Doctor and see what he thinks about it mine lasted for 10 days and was all over my belly not just near the cuts.
  16. I do that every single time I eat chicken. It sucks
  17. We are not Doctors here so if you don't want to follow what your Doctor says then I guess you should eat the fish whenever you want. Its a choice you should make on your own.
  18. I had bad acid reflux before surgery and took Nexium twice a day. Now I just take Nexium once a day and i'm not sure that I need that anymore. Are there any other surgeon's in your area that you could see or maybe just talk to you current surgeon about why he won't do it?
  19. Do you need to take some weight off before he/she will do the surgery on you? If not than exercise away. No GOOD weight loss Doctor is going to tell you to not exercise. (except for a short period of time after the surgery)

  21. I probably go 3 times a week instead of every day like before I had the band.
  22. I also had to have 6 month supervised diet. It took less than 48 hours to get an approval from the insurance company. Good Luck
  23. Good Job and Good Luck!!!
  24. Three words. "CALL THE DOCTOR" You may need just a little taken out. Maybe .5cc
