Glad to find this site. Newbie surgery in two weeks!

Congratulations! I perfectly understand how you feel. I had always been on the side line too. I remember going to my children parent teacher conference and not sitting because I was afraid the chair would break. I had my surgery on July 31st. I cant tell you how happy I am about this. When I saw my surgeon for the 1 st time on June 12 my weight was 328, I didnt have to do a 2 week liquid diet. Two weeks ago weighted 257.2. I have gone from a 4x to 1x and still blushing from the compliments. I am not going to lie and tell you it was easy and a smooth path. I had no complication; however the changes have been very drastic and difficult to adjust. But worth every single one of them. Best of luck and please keep us updated.

    Surgery Dates for July

Doing well. Constant nausea still. Down to 265 as of last Sunday.
  7. Thanks. After getting my ears pulled by my doctor I have gotten my act together. The constant nausea he says is due to the lack of fluids and protein. I was dehydrated his office is at the hospital tower so he ordered admission to monitor me. The IV is horrible but after the 3 bag I felt better. I had a small pouched tilapia w cilantro my husband brought and started by chewing crushed ice. I feel muvh better now.
  8. I had my surgery on July 31. All had gone well. I was feeling a bit tired here and there. If I ate too quickly I would vomit. So I was able to slow down and got with the program. That was until 3 weeks ago I got a boil under my armpit and about a week later i popped. I started having body aches nausea and fever. I went to the ER on Monday last week because the fever wouldnt stop and another 3 boils started to come out. I was put on antibiotics and sent home. Since then I cant barely eat anything or take my fluids. I dont even like anything I used to like. Not even the ice from my ice maker. The smell of food makes me gag. Liquids too. Yesterday all I had was a popcicle and 1/4 diet snapple also ice and bits of water. Today I forced myself to eat 1/2 of a tiny tenderloin of chicken breast. What can I do? I am scare, I feel exhausted and constantly salivating.

    July Post-ops

My surgery was on July 31st without any complications. This has been the best decision I have ever taken. The only problem I see is that I am never hungry. I do not like anything. I like it in the morning and then I don’t like it. I take my vitamins regularly. It took me a while to keep my food and not vomit it, but I fixed it by cutting everything with scissors. The only set back has been that I got an abscess and it got infected. I have been taking antibiotics for 1 week and it has gotten better but the fever is still present. Total weight loss 67 lbs.

  11. My Mr.Wilson definitely does not like solids. I am starting to think that I should go and take a chewing 101 class. Suggestions?
