    February 2014 post op losers

Hi All, I too wish I had more restrictions and I wish that sweets and carbs would make me dump! The only thing that I have a problem with now is milk products. I haven't posted because I've been struggling with the idea that I had lost as much as my body had chosen to loose and I didn't like that idea and it set me back... One milestone for me was to get into onderland before the first of the year but had decided it wasn't going to happen but lo and behold... I did it this morning! So I'm going into this Christmas week with a very happy feeling! I've been on a 2.5 month plateau and maybe I've broke that. Merry Christmas and I wish you all the best of holidays... Tammy

I'm so proud of myself... Went to 3 thanksgiving dinners and lost 1.2 pounds. I'm still struggling to break into onderland but I feel good!! Maybe Christmas I can loose more. Lol. My goal is to be down 100 lbs by my surgaversary... Bless you all and let's celebrate this wonderful, healthy holiday season. Tammy

I'm 9 months out and still can't do eggs of any kind. It always comes back up. Guess it's just how my body reacts to certain foods after the surgery.

Hello to everyone, I'm happy to see everyone is doing so well. I can't believe we're not far from out first surgaversary. I had hoped to be close to goal on my 12 month mark but I don't think that's going to happen. I'm down 93 pounds and I feel great. I guess I decided that if this is all I loose I'll be happy with that. I've been on a plateau for the last month and that makes me feel like this is where I'm going to be stuck. Has anyone had a month long plateau then started loosing again? I'm just curious. I've been struggling with that one pound to hit onderland and I just can't get there. I'm pretty sure I will but it's discouraging to struggle a month over 1 pound. Well happy holidays to you all. Enjoy what your tummy can hold... I went to a thanksgiving dinner last weekend and put too much on my plate then felt guilty for wasting food so I tried to eat it... Didn't work out if you know what I mean... Well take care, Tammy

Ryn2bethin, I've lost lots of inches but I'm at a loss at how that works. Still the same weight but smaller clothes... How does that happen???

Thank you Claire, I was thinking just yesterday that for the first time in 20 years I was able to fit a regular bath towel around me... Not a beach towel! So yes I have a lot of things that has changed weight wise, I bought a size 12 jeans and they fit but really a 14 and a few sixteens is what I can wear now. If only I didn't have this big middle. I told my kids that I look like a apple with stick arms and legs. I was a 22/24 before surgery and like any other clothes depending on the brand it could even be a 26/28. I am really happy with my weight loss but I guess my doctor thinks I could do more and that was discouraging a little. And he is serious about walking 6 miles a day. It's the stupidest thing he could expect under my situation. I guess I get down caring for everyone else's needs and want to be selfish and just work on me. My sister lives almost 4 hours away but will come up every other month and give me a weekend away from here. I guess I'm uptight about a lot of things and probably my 90 pound loss is the least of my complaints. I'm just grumbling to some people who care to listen. I'm blessed to have this place to go when I'm feeling like I do right now. And BTW the size 12 jeans had to be mis marked. lol but that's why I bought them... They made me feel smaller. Lol Tammy

Hello everyone, since this is our February support group I just have to say I'm feeling down in the dumps. All of you have done so well and I feel like I'm far behind. I'm such a slow looser. I wanted to have lost over 100lbs by now but I'm only at 90 lost. I try and follow the plan but sometimes it doesn't work out for me. I take care of 3 invalids in my family have a hard time finding my own time for exercise or just any my time...I only get in 1-2 miles a day if I'm lucky and that's mostly doing all I do at home and the time I can slip away outside but no real cardio involved. I guess I'm being a big cry baby today but I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself. It'll pass and I'll keep plugging slowly along and have those days when I'm excited to shop in regular stores and check myself out in the mirror but today I just feel down...

My weight loss has slowdown down. I was at 90 lbs but somehow over the last week I gained 4.5 lbs. I'm trying to reevaluate what I could be doing wrong and maybe it's nothing. It's happened before then I take off again. It is discouraging though but my chart is still moving downward ever so slowly. I'm happy with my progress and I get compliments so things must be working.

    February Surgeries

Hello all February 2014ers I hope this message gets to all my February pals. I'm not fond of this new update yet and can't figure it all out but I wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing...I'm still slowly moving downward, now at 86lbs lost. It seems I loose 5 lbs and gain 2-3lbs back then loose 5 more and then go back and forth. It's like 5 steps forward and 2-3 steps backwards but it's still going down and I'm not complaining since yesterday I shopped in the 'normal' people side and fit a 14 in slacks and it wasn't 14 women's. It felt so good to get two new outfits from the other side. I hope all are well... Take care, Tammy
