It's a never ending struggle. I was eating more than I should to compensate for throwing up. Now I have to lose the weight. Easier to go to the doc in the long run.

Exactly how I was feeling. I had to have my age 50 colonoscopy and since I was having trouble tossing Cookies, they did the upper too. Lower was clean as a whistle (as I predicted) so that verified the blood was from the ulcer. Wel, it turned out to be a baby ulcer and honkin' huge ulcer. Go now before whatever is causing the problem gets worse. Good Luck!!!!

You may have an ulcer. That was my problem about the same time out. I take Prilosec and have only tossed once in two months.

    Hey!
It took a few days for me, but I was normally a slow mover pre-surgery.
    Good luck and happy pooping!

I am exactly in the same place as you. I've lost about 75 pounds since last years surgery date. I am around 190. I had hoped to lose 25 more before this date. Here are some of the things I have learned. I have heard that if you eat the exact same things at the same times of day that your body has become used to those calories. Try switching up your good a little even if you don't get in exactly 80 grams of protein. Maybe try trading out one of your Protein Shakes with cheese sticks or Greek yogurt. I will be interested to hear if it helps at all.
If you are doing the same exercises, then switch that up to. Try a new one. Maybe your body is just totally freaked out! I have been trying that for a couple of weeks and noticed when I dropped my Protein Shake in the morning that I was able to get past the 4-5 pounds I had been playing with since late January.
    Good luck!

OK Peeps... Sorry I've been absent. Life.. you know how it goes. I'm a little bummed and need some advise to get my head back in the game. I'm eating OK.. staying close to guidelines but my weight isn't dropping anymore. Granted. I'm exercising on a regular basis and the whole Muscle is heavier thing is there but DANG... I'm down to 183-185 range and while thats not a bad thing, I had hoped to lose a little more... like around 20 lbs more. My surgiversary is next week and I have lost just over 70 lbs this year, just over a hundred since I made the "big decision" and 115 from my highest. I drink one to two shakes a day, eat one to two servings of Protein cereal and a protein bar if I don't get my second serving of shake. I average about 80 grams of protein a day and just what I listed alone is about 900 calories. Doesn't leave a lot of room for real food (Calorie wise) so I usually go over a bit. Is there a solution to getting past my stuck? I can feel my ribs and hips. I have a jawline now and cheekbones. Should I just accept that I'm where I am and pull up my big girl drawers about it?
    .....
OH yeah.. and Peanut Butter is the bain of my existance when I can't find PB2. Sheesh! Never thought I would have a love affair with PEANUT BUTTER... :facepalms:

I got permission to start weights again. And here's the best part- he took me off of all my bp medication. Said he thinks I don't need it anymore because the swings between standing and sitting measures were too big. Lying down I was 92/60. Standing I was 84/55. I am so happy and hope I can stay off of them. I'm heading to the gym now . Yay!!!

Well is snowing like all get out here in Media PA. And the weight loss and all of my walking and exercise paid off today.
I commute to work and since the bus service here becomes sketchy when it snows heavily. I opted to not wait for a bus that i knew would never come and walked the mile in blizzard conditions to a route i knew would be the last to shut down with no problem as a matter of fact i crushed it :-) Got the last bus out!!! the others should have listened to me.....

Our HR department told us that this year, for the first time, we're allowed to carry over up to $1000 of our unused FSA. (Calendar year 2014 can carry over to 2015). I don't know if that is just for my provider or for all of them. Check w/your plan administrator.

WOW...I know what you mean, a few years ago you would have been able to get these items without a prescription. Why won't your doc just write a prescription? I had this to happen to me last year, I have a different flex spend account, however, I used the rest of the money getting my teeth cleaned and I purchased new eye glasses. Maybe you can use it a different way and I do believe they give extension into January, check into that. Well I hope it work out, it does come in handy, just know next year, you can elect a smaller amount.

I know this seems bad, but it WILL get better! Make sure to drink your Protein and drink your Water. That was one thing that I have had to learn the hard way. I seem to be hungry but when I drink some liquid, I realize that my body was really thristy. I have a hard time telling the difference so I am training myself to not eat until I have consumed X amount of liquid. My dry lips are thanking me for this as I was dehydrating myself. Good luck hon!

Want to know my goals for the next two weeks?
    1. Maintain my weight
    2. Log my food.< /p>
    3. Have anything I want as long as it is logged.
    4. Enjoy myself and not stress if the scale doesn't move
    5. Enjoy my family and friends and not worry about if I had an extra bite or something. It's life and we should enjoy all experiences.
    6. Most importantly I plan to be easy on myself and not beat myself up or feel like a failure if my diet isnt perfect.
Setting this list has been so freeing for me.
Oh id add drink my Water and get my Protein. Not worry about calories.
    I hope this helps.

I found something yummy. I like weird combinations granted... But in order to get my cheese on AND get some tuna salad effect, I combined an ounce of Tuna and Albacore mix with a wedge of Laughing Cow Swiss. MMMMMMM GOOOOOOD! Especially on Suzie's Puffed Corn squares.
    Happy Weekend!

Hi there. I have no intention to attack you and I certainly NO ONE would on this tool/link. We should all be a support to each other. I had the lap band for 7 years. I no longer have it and I am doing RYGB in 5 days. I am guessing you are "tight" with your current fill now. Perhaps that is what is making your not being able to take Vitamins the issue? I am guessing you might be having issues with either the size or the texture (dryness) of the pills themselves? An option would be to go liquid or chewable/gummy. Check with your doctor on your options. I would say drink TONS OF Water even more that you might be already. If you are 200 pounds drink half your body weight in Water daily, in oz....so 100 oz. You can convert that
to accomodate your current weight. That water will help you in the hunger deptartment. Also, if you think you are stressed (which it sounds as though you are), try to do something to lighten your stress level. sleep, walk, talk, type on here, journal, volunteer, chew gum etc. it may be that you are just so frustrated and stressed that everything is tight and swollen inside and your band is responding that way. I hope this passes soon and you get the benefits from the band/tool that you are expecting...

I was just thinking ( which is a rarity... Lol) that I was sleeved in June and born in the month of June... Huh... I guess that just makes me a June Bug then.. So far I lost a 126.8lbs so far. I will take that but as much walking and riding a bike and hitting the gym ; it just seems that it should be more of a loss, cause the amount of food i eat. I'm just hard on myself on things and i put others before me, but the ones that only lost 70lbs so far is great!! For some reason guys just seem to lose it faster in some cases. I just go buy the 9 rules my Doctor gave me..
    1. Three meals per day (not 5 not 2..... 3,)
    2. Do not exceed four ounces per meal ( if in doubt, weigh your food)
    3. Solids food "chew Foods", not soft or liquids foods, not slimy/slippery foods
    4. No carbonated beverages of any kind ( not even diet soda)
    5. Take at least 30 min. Per meal don't inhale it ( i have a hard time with this one)
    6. Don't eat while doing anything else ( no distraction , be aware what is passing through your lips at all times)
    7. liquids first.... Pause.. Then solid Foods, don't mix, as space is limited, allow 30-45 min after solid foods before you take on more liquids
    8. You are in control of your weight, choose foods wisely; space is limited
    9.Renew your commitment every day!!
I was told not to count a Protein shake as a meal if i didn't hit my goal of 75g Protein, so if need be i will drink a Protein Shake two hours after my meal.
But normally i hit it with the foods i choose.

    Hi All,
I had my 6 mo appt last Thursday at Carolinas Weight Management in Charlotte, NC! I have lost 60lbs since my surgery on 6/10/13. While that isn't as much as I would have liked, I am pleased. I've hit a plateau...again...but that's OK. I still make incremental drops. I figure if I keep it slow and steady, I'll win the race regardless. :laughs: Since I made the decision in January, as of today, I have lost 92.2lbs. I'll take it!
