  1. Welcome it's a emotional journey but worth it...everything changes with any changes you make...some are for the good ... We've been trapped so long by our former body and mentality that it's hard for us to catch up . Let alone our family and friends...don't be surprised if you lose some friends along the way ... We all are here for you
  2. Yes they still make binaca and the breath does get better after 2-3 months
  3. It's best to get your gallbladder out at the same time and fix any hiatel hernias ... My husband has the surgery in 2010. He had a gastric sleeve and 3 months later had to go in and get his gall bladder removed... I already had my gallbladder removed after my first pregnancy do when I went in march for my bypass , they took care if my hiatel hernia ...what a difference . It's nice not having the acid reflux
  4. My fitness pal is a great app to track food. I use it everyday to keep track of my protein ..it's taken me 10 months to get to 60 grams of protein...

  6. I'm so glad I'm not along with the but... It really hurts when you have no cushion and all you feel is the tail end of your spine and but bone and it's freezing when you have no body fat

  8. After my surgery I could only have liquids , moved onto oatmeal , soup, and eggs... At 12 weeks they did an endoscopy and they said I had an ulcer... Still had the nausea and throwing up for awhile ...

  12. I actually have a md who had the surgery and is in the office of the surgeon who performed it so she does my follow up appts...she can relate which is nice
  13. I started at 282 in march 2013 and currently as of January 1st I am 154 lbs. I started in a size 22 and currently in a size 8.... Never would've imagine being in a size 8 in my wildest dreams ...I am 5'9" so my weight should be around 165
  14. I took 4 weeks which definitely helped with getting a routine and getting an idea of the foods I could handle and prepare at work ...also helped because I was in so much pain and slept slit the first week.
  15. I get about 1/4 to 1/2 cup ... Always protein first , then vegetables ... I supplement my protein through out the day with unjury unflavored , kind nut bars, pure protein bars ...salads with hard boiled egg and sunflower seeds...
  16. I am 10 months out so it's about a cup of food , but at your time. It was about 1/4 cup of food at the most , sometimes less ...

  18. I have to say a mixed green salad with hard boiled egg , cucumbers , red and green peppers , red onions , tomatoes , sunflower seeds , Texas toast croutons... I live on this ... I have tried pork loin, pot roast. Roasted chicken , and no luck with handling any of it...now I am addicted to Wendy's chili which gives me 18 grams of protein
  19. Little boo, you look amazing...I'm at the same point. 9 months out and I am less than my goal weight...started at a size 22 in march to a size 8 today..
  20. Good luck with everything !!! I always believe what's going to happen will happen. There are horror stories but there are also some amazing life changing stories .. I lost 125 lbs in 8 months ...it hasn't always been easy but it's been worth it
