Thank you thank you!!!! And yes I am totally loving RNY life so far I can't explain how awful the band made me feel for three years!!! I just can't believe I suffered through it for that long!! I truly thought this is normal for band peeps. NOW I know different it is truly like night and day!!!!!!!! Oh I almost forgot I have no more acid reflux !! Which I never had before the band!! Rrrrr. And my high blood pressure is no more!!! : )))) I will try not to compare myself to others I just wonder sometimes did the doc do my RNY???? Cause I have NO problems with food anymore! And the loss is like a snail but that's ok!! I feel wonderful!!!! : ))))))) and I too am here for anyone's support ,you all are great!! And thanks again ,we can do this!!!!!

Yes it is totally awesome to eat REAL food !!! I haven't had much of an appetite but I'm eating good quality food . My bad is , I haven't started to work out yet I know I need to its just sooo hard to get started !! Once I reprogram my lazy brain I hope the weight will start to come off .

I just hit my 4 week post op and seem to be losing sooooo slow I was 185 day of revision band to RNY today I'm 178??? My doc says because I had my big loss of 70 lbs. with band that I would probably not have a fast or as big of a loss. I am on regular diet now and everything I try I have not had any trouble. Which is like night and day from the band , I would slime,throw up daily and have stomach pains,chest pains,the stuck feeling for 31/2 years!!!! I eat 3 4oz. Meals a day and at least 2 protein shakes a day and at least 64oz. Water a day and my vitamins faithfully!!! I'm only 5 '0" 43 years old my highest pre band weight was 229 and lowest was 155 . I had a regain last year of 35 pounds after a total unfill from October to tis past June 17 th revision day . I'm happy to have a slow weight loss just wondering if anyone else having the revision has had the same experience?????

Hi all my doctor was dr. Donald Waldrep (SALSA) in Roseville ,CA. Hospital affiliation is Sutter Medical Center in Roseville. I had me lapband with him 31/2 years ago and revision to RNY on 6/17/13 ,he is a great bariatric surgeon, his staff is also amazing they know how to get the ball rolling for you!!! Roseville is in Sacramento just north .

Hi all, came home Wednesday night had my upper gi yesterday morning no leaks! That blue barium stuff is hella nasty!!!!!!!!! Thought I was going to hack it up! But didn't! Pain is gone just sore . Did a lot of walking! WALK WALK WALK!,,, I truly believe that's what made the pain go away faster. After my upper gi I was ok'd to start clear liquids , have had no problems getting it all in ,,, sip,sip,sip! No nausea ! Can totally feel a difference with no band ! My tummy doesn't feel strangled anymore! I can breath so much more deeply too!! Oh and no nausea! This feels so much better than the band I can't believe I suffered for 3 1/2 years with it ! This was the right choice for me !! I wish everyone has much success in there new journeys , to everyone getting ready to have surgery soon I send prayers prayers your way you will have a swift and easy recovery as I did! Day 2 still in the hospital. Last night was the worst part. today is better. They were able to do my revision there was moderate scar tissue. Worst part hurts where my LB port was whole stomach very sore. My blood count is low so I will be here one more night . Tomorrow I will do a barium swallow and hopefully if it goes well I can go home. Dr. Doesn't want me to drink yet. Just sponging my mouth. Not hungry at all .. just burping no basement gas yet.. well I keep you all posted after I get home. Hope everyone is doing well and good luck and prayers for peeps going in this week.

My revision from lapband to RNY is tomorrow!! Can today go anymore slower??uggh, surgery at 11 !! Woohoo! I'm 5'0 highest wt. 229, pre band 222 day of surgery,today 184pre op RNY . Oh high blood pressure,and borderline diabetic.

I bought a bottle of magnesium citrate @ target, I am going to try on Friday after work . I've only been going very little once a day and I don't feel like I have to.

Well I'm having my band out on June 17. It been a miserable struggle the last 4 yrs. On my lean liver diet then clear next week . Can't say its been easy I've been struggling .after not eating for 4 yrs. That's all I want to do .I know I can do it .just have to keep telling myself I can!!! When I decided to have the band I was afraid of having my insides cut on . Now I wish that's what I would have chosen after all the misery the band has caused me . Can't wait one more week to RNY and the rest of this crazy journey!!

I have been sick the whole time with my band from day one. Bping daily episodes, stabbing pain in my chest, constant stuck feeling and not to mention the heartburn/ acid reflux that developed as a result of the band , never had that before, and countless fills and unfills. The only thing that I could eat all the time was protein shakes.....like is that all I can have for the rest of my life???? Not!!! It is coming out and I know all the do's and don'ts of being a bariatric patient. I think my body just didn't like the band I gave it a good try but it's time to say goodbye to my hell band!!!
