I agree.. When I started in May there was no negativity. Now things are getting somewhat nasty.

- Feel like I can eat wayyyy to much!
I measure my food, still, and I'm six months out. I log everything on myfitnesspal to keep track of exactly what i eat.- Garden Of Life
Not true! My son's girlfriend is a nutritionist with a PHd and an MS in sports medicine...hardly lazy! She's also a vegetarian. She does say that it's possible to be vegan as a gastric bypass patient, albeit difficult, especially in the first six months. She disagrees with you about whey isolate, and says it's the most complete choice for most patients. I would prefer soy, but it is not a good choice for rny patients with thyroid issues. I applaud you for your commitment to a vegan, organic lifestyle, and hope you have success post op.- Body wraps
Totally temporary..waste if money...worth it if you want to fit into a special outfit for a night, but otherwise, don't bother.. We researched this a few months back.- What ya eating tonight?

Have they tested you for hepatitis c...not to be an alarmist, but I was really sick for years, and that's what it was...I took treatment for it, and I'm cured. I got it from a transfusion in 1988.- April 2013 Post-Op Group

I'm online a lot and people seem to feel that the anonymity of the online forum allows them to say anything...it's a problem, I think, with this firm of " communication". Also, people struggle with the written word, and things can be misinterpreted since we don't have the benefit if body language and tone if voice. And of course, some people just like stirring up trouble. Ignore it or block them as DL suggested. There's toi much good stuff in here, I feel, to be bothered by a few negative comments.- negativity

You can order this on amazon...it's not available in stores in our area... Definitely going to try this. I make my own sauce, but I always end up with a lot of sauce. This will be great for quick meals. Thanks for the information!- Working out post op.
I was on the treadmill two weeks after surgery...abdominal exercises and weights after six. Ask your doc and listen to your body. Feel well and good luck!- Hello guys and gals
I would seriously talk to your nutritionist about a meal plan you can tolerate...you seem to be struggling a lot, and if you're not following a plan and getting enough Protein, you could end up seriously ill as well as not losing weight. I'm just concerned for you, hon. Make use if your nutritionist....you need to eat or you'll get sick and you won't be able to lose the weight.- Immediate post surgery must haves?
I found unflavored protein to be my friend....I quicky got tired if the other flavors, and I added the unflavored to everything...I would get a wide variety of flavored waters or crystal light so you can get your... fluids in. Really concentrate on always having a drink nearby on which to sip so you don't have to keep getting up. Sugar free popsicles really hit the spot for me, too. One tip that helped me was to measure a scoop if protein powder in a bowl in the morning and to add a pinch to everything I eat or drink...by the evening, I have and extra twenty grams if protein painlessly.. I still do this most days. Good luck, and remember to sip, sip, sip.- April 2013 Post-Op Group
