I lived off of tomato soup and unsweetened applesauce for the first two weeks. Broth is good also. I didn't start protein right away (I was bad) but unflavored powdered protein added into liquids is good. Also my doctor recommended the Atkins shakes, which I still use.

I used unflavored unjury , I added it to diet hot chocolate , orange juice , and crystal light....I became lactose intolerant after surgery and still am after 7 months so milk is not an option...it's really hard to get water in so don't worry ...I still only get about 20 oz in and that's just recently . You will do great!!!! We are all here for you...

I'm 9 weeks post. Some of the protein drinks that sat well with me where, Isopure grape flavored, comes bought it at GNC, Premeir protein shakes chocolate, Unjury chicken soup flavored, chike coffee flavored, you can get on Amazon.

It mix with water, I used Sobee water. It was tasted too sweet to drink alone. I love Crystal light but the lemonade flavors were too acidic. The fruit punch flavor was good.

It's hard because things taste a little different after surgery.

I found unflavored protein to be my friend....I quicky got tired if the other flavors, and I added the unflavored to everything...I would get a wide variety of flavored waters or crystal light so you can get your... fluids in. Really concentrate on always having a drink nearby on which to sip so you don't have to keep getting up. Sugar free popsicles really hit the spot for me, too. One tip that helped me was to measure a scoop if protein powder in a bowl in the morning and to add a pinch to everything I eat or drink...by the evening, I have and extra twenty grams if protein painlessly.. I still do this most days. Good luck, and remember to sip, sip, sip.
